(fr) wrote: A hilarious, delirious ride from a director who is clearly completely out of his mind - tons of fun.
(au) wrote: The film was inspired by Doris Lessing's The Grass is Singing but the story was significantly reworked by Denis to incorporate contemporary events. The storyline is jagged because the film has been oddly edited by Denis for flashback effect; unfortunately the audience does not see the interrelationships that Denis expected us to see.
(us) wrote: the koreans have done it again! first half is beautiful cinematography with an eerie sense to it and the second half is mental breakdown time. who is an enemy? who is not? what is the enemy? you have to see it. there's no point explaining it. it's claustrophobic! it's hell! it's south korean film making at its best. accept no less!
(br) wrote: Not a fave of mine, but still has several really hilarious scenes. Of course, with Steve Martin in it, it would be pretty impossible to not have some funniness.

(it) wrote: Wrong wrong wrong! A poor excuse of a movie. Blake Edwards has lumped segments already seen from other movies with the odd moment that looks like it may have been an outtake from an earlier one. It doesnt work and having no Sellers to work with is noticeable, they should have just said no rather than try and flog the formula again after the main man had died.

(kr) wrote: Not a huge fan of the middle when it becomes more "Pillow-Talk-ish" and she is ready to - you know. But the beginning is fun, in the style of Pillow Talk and the end is much more original and hilarious. (PG, of course).

(ag) wrote: A good effort. It's a great story idea that just isn't quite satisfyingly realized despite some very good scenes and moments. The cinematography is often obviously gorgeous but nearly as often horribly compromised by digital cinema presentation that can't adequately reproduce the range of colors and, even more frustratingly, struggles with fog drifting through the dark jungle. Which it does a lot. And which often looks terrible, with a blobs of dark and light shifting about rather than the wafting haze of fog. Very distracting as a persistent reminder that we're watching a video rather than a film.It has the potential, though, to be beautiful. If I ever have the opportunity to see a film print of this movie, I'd jump at the chance.
(ru) wrote: What kind of endingWas that? Be prepared to be disappointed at the end. Otherwise I kind of liked the movie it was very suspenseful and thought provoking. I tell you one thing that girl would dead!
(es) wrote: Ok its low budget CGI, and not historically accurate but its intended to be a action packed kick-ass fun film. Vikingdom does what many mainstream films have not yet done: for example the films centres around a calm collected Viking with his south-london speaking friend and a martial artist from the far east to defeat a badass Thor -awesome.Lots of wonderful Norse myths appear in this well-researched film such as the underworld, gods and druids who actually possesses magical powers! Its also great for the atheists to take the back bench on this one - the gods exists and no one's moaning and mocking it.The added touch that gives this one top ratings is that some warriors in the group have character backgrounds built up and many twists that you don't see coming. Further the plot is relatively simple yet somehow includes huge diversity from hunting relics, epic battles, father brother and lover relationships, demigod vs god concepts and many more.I really hope they release a sequel although this would be hard to beat.
