(gb) wrote: You can view this is two ways:1. Just as any movie. An excellent thriller, fast-paced and full of sexy awesomeness, a good example of how Japanese movies are far superior to similar american titles. However;2. As the movie is based on a manga with heavy shounen-ai/yaoi references and androgyny but only leaves the viewer with a few small hints of these, it is rather disappointing. These were important elements in the manga and should not have been dropped. It's still very slashable of course.

(jp) wrote: Lots of female vampires rubbing and touching each other but still pretty boring. Misty Mundae's infantile performance is, um, interesting under the circumstances, and her story threads split between Julian Wells and Darian Caine might make this worthwhile for some.

As his last theatrical starring vehicle, this marks the beginning of the end for Seagal as everything to follow is nearly unwatchable straight to video trash.
(fr) wrote: This was a horrible movie. I was surprised because I've come to love Soderbergh's flicks. However, most of these ensemble cast movies do end up being less than stellar. It felt like the filmaker was trying to be edgy but failed miserably and instead ended up offering us a boring, convuluted story with characters that you don't care about.

I wonder about how many relationships are truly in love, and why they end up doing horrible things to eachother. Is it that folks don't know what love is, because true love never dies?

(kr) wrote: Fran Garrison's all in a tizzy because her prize Dachshund, Danke, is having pups, and she has hopes of one of the pups becoming a champion. But at the vet's, her husband Jim is talked into letting Danke wetnurse a Great Dane pup that's been abandoned by his mother. And Jim wants to keep the Great Dane. But Brutus has this problem: he thinks he's a dachshund and he's too big to be a lapdog. But when Fran ridicules Brutus one too many times, Jim's got a plan to prove to everyone (and Fran) that a great dane can be far more than just an ugly dachshund. A really adorable movie, with lots of laughs and cute dogs.
