And how cute was Matthew Broderick? Makes me desperate to red the play as it is supposed to be much better.
Millo T (gb) wrote: I havent been able to watch the movie in the depth I would like because there was people at home while I was watching it: but in my opinion, it seems a regular movie, with not many surprises, just a usual spies movie -maybe too much usual. Not as intriguing as other Hitchcock movies: not great twists, not a great strength in actions, not charismatic characters or powerful music. In fact, I am not a great fan of Hitchcock movies which are related to spies (although he is very good managing the different elements of this context, the plots have always looked to me quite difficult to believe): this one, although more realistic than others is, however, less amusing, with less "season" or "color". Femenine characters have some interest. From the three different endings, I like no one, and I would say that the chosen one is in the middle of the other two in intentions and achievements.
Ian W (fr) wrote: Another film I have only just got aroundd to seeing. Superbly done by Steven Spielberg and with a great performance from Christian Bale, it's strange that this film is underrated.A harrowing coming of age tale of life during World War 2 occupation and all the nightmares that entails. If you haven't seen it, I do recommend it.

Larry G (us) wrote: A Hitchcock film that captured the suspense of a pre- World War Two spy tale that was wonderfully acted with a real plot line that kept you hooked from start to finish, and there was only one car chase, one shooting and one fight scene, and not one f**k word used. If you're under 30, you won't understand it. What a shame, indeed.

Liardlips (it) wrote: I rate it high because it was so horrible! I loved the part at the end when the bad guy falls off of the crane or whatever and at the bottom of the screen you can see his legs bounce up from the safety net or trampoline that saved him.
