The Immortal Song

The Immortal Song

Veteran director V. Shantaram spins this bio-pic about poet and musician Honaji Bala -- best know for popularizing the lavani dance form and for writing the classic raga Ghanashyam sundara shirdhara -- who reached the zenith of his creative powers just as the Maratha empire was collapsing to British invasion forces. The film shows not only Bala's passionate interest in lavani, but also his passionate interest in prostitutes -- particularly a beautiful dancer named Tamasha (Sandhya). As the Pune court bestows Bala an award for his talents, the film shows the Maratha army getting routed by the British onslaught.

The Immortal Song torrent reviews

Gemma M (ru) wrote: The fifth instalment of the Ice Age franchise sees our favourite trio attempt to save the world while struggling with life's daunting tasks; Manny struggling to let his daughter start her life with her fiance, Diego contemplating being a dad despite being "scary" (after four films worth of action, his herd still don't seem to see him as a pussy cat) and Sid being unlucky in love as writers failed to introduce a strong female sloth character. With a predictable plot and rather rushed story line, this chapter was not one of the best in the series but is an enjoyable enough movie with reasonable humour throughout to enjoy.

Peter H (au) wrote: I disagree with those panning this movie, I thought it hilarious!

Jono F (us) wrote: Majorly plagerises the plot for Blues Brothers.-Important place will be closed down-Trying to put a band (team) back together to stop it-Travel the country assembling people-Put on a big show, using the money to keep the place open

Brandon G (au) wrote: Not a very good movie. Seemed like a "lets just make a movie and name is similar to 'shooter' that way maybe people will accidentally rent this". Nothing about the movie was very good. I did laugh when they crashed into a rock and it exploded though.

Id Hate 2 C U Go But Always In My (it) wrote: I LOVE THIS MOVIE BUT MY HEART WON'T LET ME SEE IT AGAIN. IT'S VERY SAD THAT WOMEN GO THROUGH THIS AND ITS ASHAMED THAT THEIR ARE MEN OUT THEIR WHO WOULD TAKE FROM AN INNOCENT CHILD. GOOD INSPIRATION BUT VERY SAD AND HEARTBROKEN, I CRY FOR DAYS AFTER WATCHING THIS MOVE!!! BISHOP T.D. JAKES THE PASTOR I WOULD LOVE TO MEET IN LIFE

Jon J (jp) wrote: Fascinating and beautiful.

Adam R (mx) wrote: Airheads is a nineties gem. Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi and Adam Sandler are a funny trio, and really make this an entertaining, although stupid, movie. I think the soundtrack could have and should have been better, but it is an amusing movie on the whole. (First viewing - In my early twenties)

Jose M (gb) wrote: Shockingly enough, I did not hate this film even with the promise of an awful title! There are funny scenes and some originality with a tired genre.

Judy K (kr) wrote: Good romance involving 3 people! Great location shots in Greece!

Gordon S (mx) wrote: oh for heavens sake... chevy is chevy... but not a working model of a movie

Lee B (es) wrote: This is a movie for people who like movie making and deep symbolic storytelling. So much happens in this movie that represents the tragedies of war to people, culture and human psychology. Plus, it is very visual in its poetic representation of the situations. It doesn?t really seem like war, but when you think about it, it is a perfect portrayal of it, just something that is not shown in the overwhelming majority of way movies. And this was made in the 50s. It?s a war polemic that is just as great as All Quiet on the Western Front in its message, artistry and timing.I looked up this movie because of the storyline of the Philippines, not my home but the home of part of my ancestry. And when I found out that it was panned by most when it came out and even the Japanese couldn?t digest it and its messages, but is now thought of to be a gem, I had to see it. Not to mention I listened to a podcast about WW2 straglers left on islands. For fans of classic message war movies, this is a must.

Adam T (us) wrote: SNL comedian Steve Carell is unexpectedly creepy and compelling as a wrestling coach who will stop at nothing for the best. It's a chilling performance from him and the chills often lie in what he doesn't say than what he does.
