The Impatient Alchemist torrent reviews

Garreth E (au) wrote: This could be such a good movie, but the director seemed to have lost interest at the end. The selection process scenes were very well done. For anyone familiar with military selection courses it was well done and well worth a watch. The operation at the end was just pathetic, really, really badly done. So bad in fact that that I would have given this movie a 4 Star review but after watching the ham acting, bad sound effects and cardboard thin story line I can only but drop it down to a 2 Star (at best).Switch off the movie after the selection phase and you'll be happy you watched it.

Jason D (de) wrote: Maskhead is the story of two lesbo model scouters/porn directors who enlist all kinds of "actors" and "actresses" for their fetish porn films. Little do these people know, the lesbos incorporate another actor into the film, known as Maskhead, a hulking menace that proceeds to rip every single one of them to shreds during each film. There's the general plot of the movie, but there is definitely a lot more going on as filmmakers Scott Swan and Fred Vogel (who brought us the notorious August Underground trilogy, a set of films so vile and disgusting that only the elite of horror fans know of and have seen) venture into the ultra-sleazy. Given the film's subject matter, it certainly delivers on heinous acts of violence and sexuality. You can expect ample amounts of gore, but surprisingly little nudity (though it does pick up a bit in the last 15 minutes of the film) as everything is left up to suggestion and letting the viewer use their imagination, which is effective, but when in you invest in this kind of film, we pretty much expect it to be hand-delivered to us. Between all of the mountains upon mountains of built up shock value, the coup de grace is the climactic ending which incorporates a death so over the top, bloody, and somewhat nauseating, it actually makes up for the hour of ho-hum, by-the-books torture movie. Now, granted, I say things like ho-hum and by-the-books, but after witnessing films like Martyrs, Gutterballs, and (ESPECIALLY) Hanger, Maskhead doesn't seem to phase me all that much (save for the ending). Those unfamiliar with the aforementioned films (as well as the August Underground ones) will definitely be in for a surprise if you somehow are able to track this film down and watch it.

Cecil A (ca) wrote: It's an OK film but not as good as the first one.

Yuvett S (es) wrote: Gave this movie a chance because of Peter Dinklage and due to the cast line up. The movie is basically about getting Peter Dinklage (KC) dog back after being kidnapped. The movie was long and drawn out but entertaining to say the least. Kind of reminded me of "Lets get Shorty".

Dann M (mx) wrote: A character drama from writer/director Noah Baumbach, Greenberg explores some interesting issues but ultimately falls flat. When Roger Greenberg comes to L.A. to housesit for his brother he ends up getting involved with the housekeeper, but his fears and anxieties begin to cause problems between them. Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig, Rhys Ifans, and Jennifer Jason Leigh lead the cast and give strong performances; particularly Gerwig, who has a nice charm and a natural comedic sensibility. However, the plot meanders a lot and is full of minutia. And Greenberg is a rather perfunctory character, leaving the audience ambiguous to his plight. Flawed and disjointed, Greenberg is an overly monotonous slice of life film.

Ian M (ru) wrote: This movie is pretty scary when you think about the fact that there is so much homophobic violence still, not matter how far we've progressed. I think this film attacks the subject brilliant, with the fact I was questioning if my partner was killed in such an attack would I maybe seek revenge and take it into my own hands as the authorities hadn't? If I loved someone that much... Yes, I probably would. Brilliant movie that needed to be made, and very well done.

Willem C (mx) wrote: For the low-budget game movies, House of 9 has an original enough finish to make up for the cliched plot. If you like this increasingly popular sub-genre, than this is just a drop in the bucket.
