Aaron M (gb) wrote: Im by no means an X-men fan. I thought every movie to date was extremely average however this is the first instalment which I have really enjoyed. I just thought it was fantastic compared to its predacessors. Starting from scratch X-men: First Class answers a lots of questions and sets up the story from the very beginning. It does the X-men plot justice and has a bit of everything. Learning the mutants abilities is every bit entertaining and James McAvoy is brilliant as Proffessor X. Overall this movie is well balanced and consistent throughout and is undoubtedly for me, the best X-men movie to date.

Jens S (es) wrote: This typical 80s muppet adventure contains all the highlights and lows of the era: a pop soundtrack by David Bowie (who is also a fine villain), a simple but enthralling story, lovable characters that sometimes burst into songs, but also some cheesy lines, dated special effects and a simplistic plot. Of course, none of those things mattered if you saw this film at the right age when it came out. Most of the dolls still look pretty fine and especially unique today and there are some amazing visual effects in the film. Jennifer Connelly started her great career with this and the Henson studios once again proved that they are the masters of puppets. It's easy to find flaw in this film today, but for its time it was pretty outstanding and still works for an entertaining rainy afternoon now.

Campbell P (ca) wrote: Moonstruck stars Cher and Nic Cage in Brooklyn New York. This movie is beyond expectations. This touched my heart. The two leads have very good chemistry and have really good discussions. The story is about Loretta being engaged to Johnny and over time while Johnny is in Italy, Loretta starts to fall in love with his one handed brother Ronny. While this movie has a heartwarming romance it's also pretty funny. Nicolas Cage's over the top acting is too funny to take seriously he's great in this film. The whole last half of this movie is really well done, especially the last scene of this movie. It makes you laugh, it makes you feel warm, and it makes you feel happy. At first I was thinking, how is this gonna all come together and work in the end, but then the movie perfectly wraps all the loose ends together and makes a really good ending. Moonstruck is funny, well acted, fun, heartwarming, and feel good all in one great package. A-
