Logan M (kr) wrote: A meditative and thought-provoking picture of war, "Waltz With Bashir" is probably the first time I've ever witnessed the combining of animation with art-house.

Gerald S (es) wrote: A bad movie that could have been good. The idea of having a serial killer that doesn't want his victims to die was ahead of it's time. Good ideas, bad script.

Ana A (gb) wrote: Not quite great, but quite enjoyable after all.

Erik G (de) wrote: I don't know if I quite buy the teenage Pauline being the most sensible, but everything else is perfectly constructed. And I say constructed because the film is consciously theatrical and artificial. It's funny that the "talky" Rohmer used a quotation like "he who talks much disserves himself" as his epigraph. Also, I need a place at the beach.

Jay V (au) wrote: One of the best comedies ever, no matter how many times you see it!

Rameshwar I (us) wrote: Firstly, it took me a while to realize stuff like this happens in real sports. Yes in a spur of the moment there can be a fight or two, but legally recruiting someone to rough up the opposition in a live game of hockey is definitely new. What's even fresher is Sean William Scott plays a humble down-to-earth character even after going for super-stardom. Doug (Seann William Scott) works as a bouncer in a local tavern who belongs to a family of highly educated professionals. One day a hockey team coach notices his talent of dealing with miscreants and offers him a place in the local hockey team, his job is precisely to protect the rest of the team and smash the opposition. He gets promoted to the state level team who is wildly encouraged by his foul mouthed friend Pat (Jay Baruchel). Here he comes face to face with a notorious and legendary goon of the opposite team Ross Rhea (Liev Schreiber) and facing him will make him part of history. Sean William Scott gives a humble performance who otherwise is associated with jerk like characters. Jay Baruchel is energetic and occasionally over the top, while the rest of the team members are aptly cast. Liev gives the necessary image required for the notoriety associated with Ross Rhea character as the face off builds up the second half of the movie. It is a simple story with generic sports drama elements only that it is not a normal sport and our protagonist is not a conventional sports person. Decent runtime, the injected love story starts good but drags a bit after a while. The final showdown drama is well done Go with no expectations and you will not be too disappointed.

Ashley H (kr) wrote: I'm All Right Jack is an enjoyable film. It is about a naive aristocrat in search of a career becomes caught up in the struggles between his profit-minded uncle and an aggressive labour union. Peter Sellers and Ian Carmichael give wonderful performances. The screenplay is well written. John Boulting did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the humor and comedy. I'm All Right Jack is a must see.

Derek S (es) wrote: Watch this movie. Pay attention, but watch it.

Lucas Y (gb) wrote: Not a perfect movie by any means, but it's one of those movies I've never had a problem turning on when channel surfing. The Rock, the action, the soundtrack are all great. Neal McDonough is a good bad guy. What's not good? The silly love story and the Rock's relationship with his drug curious, but incredibly drug intolerant nephew. Overall I'd have no problem displaying this with my movie collection though.
