Now a days you don't see much movies that can make a well known fictional character such as Frankenstein which has had sooo many movies made of him, into such an original story line for him. This movie was perfect in my books and don't listen to all these haters on here, they don't know what their talking about. Just watch the movie and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Darryl S (us) wrote: Definitely not an easy sit-through. This is a film for mature and educated audiences. DiCaprio and Winslet are breathtaking! The supporting actors are all spot-on in their characterizations. I was mesmerized on this emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. The final coda is simply devastating; I was left in shattered and in tears. Naturally, it's one of my all-time faves! :D

Michael M (nl) wrote: While I do appreciate a politically motivated film that pays attention to the gray, there aren't many groundbreaking ideas here. Interesting conversations though.

Ya manisfet desprecio respecto a la Elektra del Universo Cinematogrfico, pero incluso la sosa interpretacin de Elodie Yung supera a esta cosa.

Jason W (fr) wrote: great little movie.... there is a lot to reflect on and think about this movie...its definitely more than the typical kid grows up in a broken home, becomes evil, then tries to get his life together against the demons in his life loosely based on real people...

George I (kr) wrote: It's a half star (outta five) movie, actually, but amusing to watch for about 45 minutes or whenever that infinitely repeating folk song starts to gnaw at your sanity.

roger t (br) wrote: i enjoyed this more than i thought i would. the storyline is very simple and flixster's version of it tells the tale. the quality of the film, its clarity and color was noteworthy for me. also, i am a big beatles fan so the george harrison written music appealed to me also......

Alison C (de) wrote: Such a good movie. Explores some interesting ideas. The long takes were cool. The cuts were quite obvious but for the time, it's quite impressive. Got quite tense at parts. I was literally screaming when the housekeeper was cleaning and even began to open the chest. Hitchcock really does know how to play an audience! I didn't see any of this supposed homosexual subtext. If Hitchcock intentionally included it, I can't argue with that. I just don't see it. And don't think it relates anyway. If it does, I think that would have unfortunate implications. Whatev. Anyway. Great movie. Very engaging. Jimmy Stuart is awesome.
