Absolute genius special effects with the most convincing dragon to ever hit the silver screen. Unparalleled. A word of warning for parents: this movie is rated PG. But this is PG by 1981's standards. This movie is really dark and has some pretty intense albeit brief violence/gore & some themes. There's also some brief nudity. I saw this in the theater when I was 6 and I still remember the impression that was left. Just a word of warning.
