Jeff B (jp) wrote: The GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS is a really good addition to the Zombie Genre. It is well adapted from the novel, the cast and execution are rock solid. Too bad this film did not get more marketing behind it's limited theatrical release. Do yourself a favor and catch it on Demand or DVD. You won't be sorry.

Dan M (br) wrote: This was all kinds of weird. Three Korean sci-fi stories in one, the first being a run of the mill zombie story. The second is a robot that thinks it's Buddha(very, very boring by the way) and the third.. well I have no idea what the hell that was, something to do with a girl ordering a giant 8 ball meteor to destroy the world. All in all, not something I'd want to watch again.

David S (ru) wrote: An excellent, if gruelling, tour through a serious and often overlooked series of events. Most effective are the portrayals of western inactivity, as journalists and politicians argue about the definition of the term 'genocide' even as people are being slaughtered in their tens of thousands.

Brandon V (au) wrote: Read the plot synopsis. You pretty much have this movie down pat. It's very good, but we're really talking about the appeal being with the fringe element of the audience which has NO barriers on what they consider to be acceptable material for art. Don't even bother if you prefer cheesy Hollywood melodrama.

Ryan V (jp) wrote: It's got a cliched love triangle-based plot, but Gibson, Russell, and Pfeiffer pull it off. Just barely though. It should've been better, considering it was directed by Robert Towne.

Chris B (mx) wrote: "Our Hospitality" is an epic scale Keaton film that runs at 75 minutes and employees the use of many sets and all adds up to a wonderful adventure with Keaton touch. The film is directed and stars Buster Keaton but also stars his at the time wife, father (who performs the insane high kick knocking a hat off a man), and his son as a baby Keaton in the film. Our Hospitality is one of the most liked and acclaimed Buster Keaton works and is widely considered a masterpiece. The train tracks are hilariously constructed and the trip back home is one filled with crazy antics and all sorts of trouble for our cast. The film showcases Keaton's huge imagination and gift for making terrific comedies that have both heart and adventure as well as comedy elements in both slapstick and insane set pieces. The comedies all convey a grand sense of space and wonderfully designed machines and constructions that really add to the feel of the movie. Of note, this was the first Buster Keaton film that both my father and best friend, Brad have seen via my blu-ray.

Brian S (jp) wrote: Indeed, it's pretty overrated, but what do you want, it's much more of a kid's movie than a movie for everybody. It does have it's charming and funny scenes, but some moments are just brutally boring. Overall, Home Alone is an alright Christmas movie, if you've got time, go see it, but it ain't the biggest flick either to watch during the holidays.
