(de) wrote: THEY HAVE FOUND OUT THE TRUTH NOW THEY MUST TELL THE WORLD! 100% my all time favorite action movie its violence but Italian style. Cut and run is no doubt the strangest action movie I have ever seen it's a mix off all sorts of genres but I will get into that later. Ruggero Deodato created the most controversial movie ever made a cannibal holocaust witch was banned in over 50 countries worldwide making it the most heavily banned film ever made. Before that he created a shocker called last cannibal world in were a group of oil workers get trapped and are captured by a cannibal tribe. Now Ruggero Deodato with financial backing from New World Pictures and costing a staggering more then $15 million dollars he crated cut and run. Somewhere in South America a major drug operation is underway with people already packing it and starting to move it then out of the water a skilled white assassin kills more then 3 people and he is leading a cannibalistic native tribe to advance on the area. Within no time all the people are killed and the assassin Quecho sees 2 people watching from a plane in a harry he leaves. The tribe he was with beings to tear at the rest of the living people and eat them. Back in Miami a reporter and he cameraman have a major scoop that a women in back backing drugs to her boyfriend and stake out the house knowing they can get high ratings from an FBI arrest. But after some time of watching they enter the house only to find the dealers dead and the women having her insides out all over the place but they find a photo of that looked like the killer. Not long after they leave fran (the reporter) has a felling she knows the man in the photo and not long after they find out the day before the Johns Town Massacre the man in the photo had major ties to Jim Jones and his town. The reporter and her camera man both head off to the jungle because they might have the scoop of the century about a major drug operation and witch an assassin is trying to get everything for himself. But like I said before it's really cool because it's a mix off all genres not just action and adventure such as -Drug running and operations -Cannibal films -Splatter films -Horror -Mondo films What I love about the movie is just the story epic from start to finish it has everything an action film could need. -Major shootouts -assassins -Cannibal tribes -Amazingly epic explosions -Awesome helicopter gun fire on the action scenes -And most of all an epic ending The acting its self is extremely good for an Italian film this is rare but all cast and crew were English including its lead Michael Berryman we know him from the hills have eyes. With his deformed body like shape witch makes him the perfect villain. The dubbing was extremely good I am only saying this because I am not sure weather there were Italian stars or Ruggero just wanted everyone to be English. The special effects are really good the kill scenes are just epic the special effects are everything you would see in an action film and of course Ruggero famous trademark realistic and explicit gore. Film has a great soundtrack and awesome scenery shots of the jungles and epic sets to destroy. Some of my favourite death scenes are. -Quecho throws the guard off the edge and gets impaled - Quecho guts the stabs in the neck a guard and uses his gun to shot everyone in the room -They running throw the jungle and one of the native's hits there own trap and spicks hit him in the gut. The more he pulls the more organs fall out. Overall all I can say is this is my all time favourite action film and if you have Netflix ORDER IT you wont be disappointed. My final verdict highly FUCKING recommended.

(mx) wrote: Mr. Majestyk is more of a role that Charles Bronson is known for: the anti-hero type. But in this role, he's really even more of a hero because murder isn't his main drive for revenge. To be honest though, the movie feels like a bit of a step down in the spectrum of Bronson revenge films. It has the elements of a fun action movie, but the story surrounding it AND the actors involved with it feel off. The actors, in particular, don't seem all that into their roles. Bronson gives it his best, as does the main bad guy, played by Al Lettieri, but overall, the performances are very sterile. The story meanders a lot of the time and never really gets a satisfying payoff either. Sure Bronson comes in at the end and kicks some ass, but it feels pretty hollow. That's not to say that there isn't some entertainment value to be had. Charles Bronson laying down in the back of a truck and kicking down the tailgate to blast a shotgun at the pursuing bad guys? You've gotta love that stuff. It's moments like that that make the movie worth watching. As is, it's entertaining enough, but lacking just a bit too much.

(jp) wrote: An obnoxious an rich girl (McCalla) and two of her daddy's employees (Griffin and Sen-Yung) are shipwrecked on an uncharted island. They must fight fight for survival against a Nazi mad scientist (Anders) who has harnessed the secret of perpetual motion and is using it and processes he perfected in the WW2 concentration camps to steal the beauty of native island girls (who like all native girls only want to dance) and transferring it to his wife, in the hopes of restoring her fire-ravaged body. The process reduces them to horribly mutated, violent monsters.... you know, She-Demons! My summary gave away the element that almost earned this film a Four Rating. It's going along likea fairly standard, low-budget castaways-on-a-jungle-island-with-monsters-and-a-hot-babe movie when suddenly Nazis appear on the scene. And they're not just any Nazis... they're led by a mad scientist Nazi who, although his research is dedicated to restoring his wife's beauty (at the expense of a bevvy of hot bikini-babes) he immediately wants to do the horizontal mambo with Aryan beauty Irish McCalla. That strange turn resulted in this film perhaps being the greatest combo of B-movie/exploitation movie/"grindhouse" movie mainstays ever made. (Uncharted island, jungle inhabited by strange creatures, a mad scientist transforming humans into beasts with his weird experiments, Nazis--sadistic, whip-weilding Nazis no less--a wife with a disfigured face who only Weird Science can restore, wise-crakcing colored [in this case, Chinese] sidekick, and exploding volcaones. All this movie needed was a flying saucer, nudity, and lesbian vampires, and it might have been been the Platonic ideal of crappy movies.) Of course, it would need better acting and something resembling decent dialogue to truly be worth viewing. Only Rudolph Anders as mad scientist Colonel Osler was any good, because he went waaay over the top with smariness and superior attitude. Irish McCalla did an okay job, I supposed, because her character was so obnoxious that I wanted Osler to turn her into a She-Demon because it would shut her up. On its own, "She-Demons" is not worth your time or money. It might be odd enough to be a secondary feature for a Bad Movie Night, but if you are going to get it, look for a DVD multipack that includes it and one or two movies you know are good. That way, this becomes a "bonus feature", and you've gotten your money's worth. She Demons Starring: Irish McCalla, Tod Griffin, Victor Sen-Yung, and Rudolph Anders Director: Richard Cunha
