safa a (it) wrote: Two words Martin freeman thank heavens for him, a satisfactory performance, easy to like and emotionally accurate particular society around which the rest of proceedings revolve. But he is saddled with a script that falls down from misjudged raunch- coms onto boring sap by act three

Nathalie S (nl) wrote: It was ok, but mostly for Adachi's fans.

Luke B (fr) wrote: I watched in absolute awe for this entire film. It promised a Yo-Yo Girl Cop and it certainly delivered that and more. In it's La Femme Nikita way of giving a girl a chance to save her mother by cooperating with the police we are shown a girl with everything to gain. It's great that she is uneasy at first, she makes mistakes and can't use her weapon to save her life. It's unashamedly fun and very damn sexy. I mean just when I didn't think it could get any better the last 20 minutes roll around and everybody is dressing sexier than they were previously and get into some awesome action fighting...with Yo-Yo's. I want a sequel NOW damnit. Don't expect anything too cerebral here, just break out a Yp-Yo and get ready to kick ass and get turned on.

Steven L (gb) wrote: A TV movie continuation of the Psycho series finds Norman Bates released again and married calling a radio talk show about his dark past. It was interesting to finally learn how Norman Bates really became a pscyho, but the lack of Anthony Perkins in it (he is still the star of the movie, though his part is cut down quite a bit from the previous 2 films) is enough to make this film not as good as the last 2 films. Still watchable and finally on DVD now!

jesse p (nl) wrote: The Half Italian/Japanese Director Bruno Mattei strikes again with Strike Commando, This low Budget Rambo Knock-off made directly for Japanese Audience's in the 80s. Like all of Mattei's films there riddled with Stock Footage of explosions and of course Stolen, Music and dialog which makes him a cult favourite across the world. But Alternately I have never liked a film by Bruno Mattei, With the exception of "Hell of the Living Dead" his most infamous zombie movie. So I can't be a part of his following despite me seeing nearly all of his films, He tends to have the biggest Following in Japan and all his movies are available there on DVD unlike the rest of the world. That's where I found Strike Commando because there were no Torrent's :( While operating behind enemy lines, Sgt. Mike Ransom learns of a Russian presence in North Vietnam. Ordered to obtain proof of this discovery, Ransom returns to enemy territory but is captured and subjected to a variety of tortures. Eventually he escapes to continue his mission despite being hampered by a traitor in his own ranks. And he must fight and survive! So the story is like a jungle version of Rambo but with movie gory elements and scenes, And some of the action scene from Rambo were stolen and stuck in this movie. A matter of fact the ending footage to the Last Hunter was stolen and stuck in this movie. But it's Mattei what more do you want....??? So the acting is very bad, and Bruno no doubt does one take and moves on to the new scene, while forgetting were this story was going....He is working with no doubt less than $200,000$. Though the music was pretty good and some entertaining action scenes, Enough deaths and gore to keep one watching, the film is not boring at all. The special effects are bad when there not stock. Funny I remember seeing online a Japanese site dedicate to his films, Teens that were aware of his films would go as there favourite movie by him. And the photos on the site were mostly kids from doing. "Hell of the Living dead", And "SS Girls". Next time I am there something I need to get involved in. Overall unlease you wont to spend an hour and a half watching a Rambo rip-off I say go right ahead and my final verdict is recommended. BTW i am the first one who reviewed this!

Cassian J (au) wrote: So what we have here is a sub Hitchcock thriller whilst not being terrible in great neither. When Alison Courtland finds herself waking on a train with a gun in hr possession and no idea of how she got there a mystery in set in motion. Is Alison going mad are or there more skuldugerous machinations in place. A well paced film where the characters are true to form and he ending very apparent this is still enjoyable, though I would not go out of my way to view the movie again. However I would spend a lazy afternoon watching it on TV. This is a movie that is definitely of its age with the lead female characters being particularly sub servant and the heroes' proper heroes. If you like noir add a star but worth a go.

Ethan P (nl) wrote: 50 First Dates is a sweet, light and harmless romantic comedy that I really enjoyed. It made me laugh hysterically and I was amazed by the joyful chemistry between Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. They were fun to watch and their quirky romance was believable. Most Sandler movies focus on bullying and gross out gags, but this film was much less crude and offensive. Yes there are some dumb jokes that don't land, some ridiculous characters that subtract from the films impact, but if not for those flaws, this would be a pretty damn good movie because it was so easily enjoyable.

Anti R (nl) wrote: Excellent film that shows the racism of the United States. Except that the USA is still as racist and that the film happens in the 60's.
