(au) wrote: Alpha House is the set up to a porno that never starts. It's campy, mediocrely acted and about obvious as an actual porno. But going into the movie with that in mind, it can be a fun if forgettable ride.
(ag) wrote: A good tale of unlikely friendshop. Flawless acting by the child star.
(us) wrote: This film is so dumb...but I love it.
(es) wrote: It's rare to see British bluntness and American bravado pair off so brilliantly.
(ag) wrote: amazing well directed and amazingly well acted
(kr) wrote: Classic B-movie; bad dialog and plot, good action. With Coolio's "I Like Girls" there is a Miami Connection feeling to it. Director of Supercop, Rumble in the Bronx and First Strike does well, but Aaron Kwok and Dacascos are not Jackie Chan. Coolio isn't as funny as Chris Tucker. "The fighting is well choreographed, the stuntwork is impressive, Norika Fujiwara is terrific eye candy" though she doesn't show much.

(mx) wrote: Gratuitous violence, corpse spattered temples, helicopters, repressed lunatics corrupted by power and the White Man??s Burden. Add a classic rock soundtrack and you??ve got the film Apocalypse Now should have been.
(us) wrote: The heart wants what it wants. As an amateur critic, every Woody Allen movie I watch feels like I just dated my hypothetical stepdaughter. Despite the quasi-incestuous aura, Radio Days is fun for the whole family. It transports young folks like myself from a world of ubiquitous devices that make phone calls and wipe your ass simultaneously, to an era where radio DJs had character (which is frightening and unusual).

(au) wrote: Great movie by Francois Truffaut. Tells a story of a man who has an obsession to women. He can't resist ladies he sees. This story is deliberately chauvinistic, but definitely in a gentle way.
(ag) wrote: this was one seriously shitty movie!
(jp) wrote: The plot for this movie is really ridiculous, especially watching it in "this day and age" but it's charming.
(gb) wrote: though directed and written by Chaplin he doesn't appear in this pic except a brief walk on... see if u can spot him.
(nl) wrote: This is so far removed from the original film that it's barely the same franchise. Ignoring that though I did quite enjoy this film - it was crushingly bleak and never seemed to allow itself to become predictable, with twists galore and action out of nowhere. If you are into your depressing sci-fi films that cause slight emotional discomfort I'd say give this a go...
