With subtle humor, compelling drama, and very good character development, Woody Allen has crafted what's easily his best movie. Ok, so Woody Allen had talent at one point and it shows in Crimes and Misdemeanors

A vast, campy improvement over the fairly bland original

Not everyone's piece of pizza, but well worth a thinking person's time. This is a film which leaves us with much to ponder about organized religion and the role of faith in each of our lives. Performances are excellent and the stream of consciousness method of storytelling adds to the complexity and texture of this hard-to-describe work of art. It is a thoughtful perplexing film which asks more questions than it answers. First of all, "We Have a Pope" is far from what I would call a comedy

Jay Mohr keeps the comedy afloat, despite its dependence on shallow characters and adolescent snickering over sexual cliches

Pretty middle of the road, but good enough to keep a horror fan interested. Not great, not awful

With a dream team of screen writers it's amazing this one still manages to fall flat and remain incredibly boring
