(fr) wrote: A bland score and conveniences are the only negatives to an otherwise fantastic origin story for a character that I've never been a fan of. Granted, this movie STILL hasn't changed my opinion - but the presentation and story structure were so well-handled, mixed with solid image direction that made this DC animation installment a great one.
(ru) wrote: Beautiful cinematography and direction. One of the best book to film adaptations I've ever seen, as well as an exquisitely unique coming of age story. The acting is surprising genuine and heart-wrenching for such young actresses and actors.

(ru) wrote: A classic movie for baseball fans. "It Happens Every Spring" is classic movie that baseball fans would love. It about a Professor (Ray Milland) that invents a lotion that repels wood. He puts on the baseballs and the balls repels the wood bats. With the lotion, He becomes a World Series pitcher for St. Louis baseball team. Paul Douglas does great as the old cranky St. Louis's baseball catcher. Alan Hale Jr.(who plays the "Skipper" on "Gilligan's Island" TV series) is in the movie. this a excellent family movie that is fun to watch. It is a must see by for the baseball fans.

(gb) wrote: This movie throws you right in the mix with some brutal action sequences, bold characters and performances. Overall though the movie was quite bizarre and the ending extremely poor. The movie is very dark through out, the story is not the easiest to follow and quite forgettable.
