The Last One

A man races against time to prevent the unthinkable from happening to the one he loves. The Last One is one man's journey home, where the consequences of the choices he's made slowly begin to unravel in front of him. As Alex recovers from a gunfight and comes to his senses, he realizes that his life and that of his girlfriend Abbie are in grave danger. Unable to reach her, Alex must now make the long journey back to Abbie before the people he's crossed get to her first. It won't be an easy task, as Alex is confronted by police and hunted down by a lone gunman. His only hope lies in the form of a stranger, whom he has taken hostage. As they drive into the night, Alex begins to realize just how important his relationship is, and now, he can only hope he is not too late to save it.

The Last One torrent reviews

Jeffrey G (jp) wrote: Another masterpiece by the great Jia Zhang Ke. Quietly absorbing, and ingeniously constructed as a hybrid of documentary and documentary style fiction. Highly recommended.

Suanne F (fr) wrote: Sad, but feels like it could be very very real.

Mimi S (it) wrote: Grade: B- Cate Blanchette is an amazing actress, one of my favourites. Blanchette is always a gem in her films. This is a film based on a true story of an Irish journalist, Veronica Guerin, who risks her life to bring down notorious drug lords. As I said Cate Blanchette was brilliant in this film, but the rest of the cast wasnt as memorable. I couldnt really relate with Blanchette's character; I couldnt decide if what she did was heroic or stupid; the film didnt really didn't explain her motives. I thought the film was a bit boring at parts and very much a typical TV drama. The film was still quite moving though and was fairly decent. I think Blanchette's performance makes it worthwhile.

Voselinda P (jp) wrote: Hunger games who? Battle Royale is the real OG. If I had to describe Battle Royale with one word, it'd be "RAW".

Tim N (au) wrote: ah tori spelling at least you made one good movie

Anna N (mx) wrote: I think I'll pass on this one.

Shane D (br) wrote: This was another one of those films that I rented the hell out of when I was a kid. In fact, for a long time, when I thought of Martin Short or Nick Nolte, the first thing I would think of would be this film. It(TM)s kind of weird that it isn(TM)t that well remembered because it has all the trademarks of a lovable 80s film. I mean, it has the 80s songs, it has the wacky sequences (the early bank heist sequence is true comedic genius) and we have James Earl Jones AND Alan Ruck featuring. Really great cinematic Martin Short performances are actually few and far between, and this is one of his best (and one of the few where he has a starring role).

Dean G (br) wrote: Sherlock sprinkled with some Spielberg magic - mmmm tasty.

Daniel M (br) wrote: Without question this is the best movie of all time

Cesar J (br) wrote: Not as epic as I predicted, could have been better, but I guess it's harmless.

Lucas M (es) wrote: Darkly humor, surrealism and controversial, Die Blechtrommel is a dazzing, entertaning and unique film that bring to us a great direction, just like the screenplay and David Bennent's performance. One of the best films that I ever saw and also one of the most shocking. Fresh.

James E (ca) wrote: This is a fun old B horror movie that is so low budget that they use a flashlight for their lighting. The costumes were fun and the story was watchable. I am happy to have this flick in my collection.

Richard D (it) wrote: Now this is what I'm talking about! So many of these exploitation film homages being cranked out bear no resemblance to their supposed inspirations. This is how you do it right. It's not perfect ... It goes on for too long, and although the final climax is pretty funny, I had a difficult time still caring by that point. Worth a view just for Captain Kangaroo Pimp, and there's a hell of a lot of equally funny stuff.

Bosco F (it) wrote: Quite funny, Carell a comedic genius as always. Though "American movie" cliches are still painfully there, hell, good to have a nice laugh.

Vassili B (it) wrote: James Franco is powerful!

Emily K (fr) wrote: watching it right now!!! movie itself gets a B-, but Gwynnie's accent gets an A++!
