The Last Seduction

A devious sexpot steals her husband's drug money and hides out in a small town where she meets the perfect dupe for her next scheme.

When Bridget meets Mike Swale, a naive local who is blinded by her beauty and directness, she devises an elaborate, almost diabolical scheme to get rid of Clay once and for all. Because Clay has to pay off a loan shark who'll otherwise damage him severely, he keeps sending detectives after her, trying to retrieve the money. After she persuaded him to sell medicinal cocaine to some drugdealers, she takes off with the money, almost a million dollars, and goes undercover in a mid-American smalltown. But all of this isn't enough, as her husband Clay finds out. Bridget Gregory has a lot going for her: she's beautiful, she's intelligent, she's married to a doctor

My Favorite Film Is 1941's Citizen Kane

Not the worst of it's kind but it's not the best either. In "Black Mama, White Mama" he took the story from "The Defiant Ones" and put it into a women in prison film. In that one he took the story from "Rashmon" and put it into a biker film. Jonathan Demme got story credit on this one and did the same thing he did with "Angels Hard as They Come"

Ruth Gordon (Minnie Castevet in Rosemary's baby) is equally good as the ballsy Mrs Dimmock aka Aunt Alice. I love the way she laughs after she has notched up a new victim. Geraldine Page is wonderful as a neurotic, reclusive, cocktail drinking psychopath. Perhaps even cult status. Whilst this is less well known and therefore less popular than Hitchcock's 'Psycho', in my opinion it definitely deserves the same "classic" status. Its also an interesting window into how much the horror/thriller genre of filmhas changed in the almost 50 years since this was made. Although not at all scary it is still very entertaining and slightly comedic. I hadn't seen this since I watched it as a child in the 70s and I have to say I really enjoyed seeing it again

'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for a couple of dubious sexual assault scenes - what is this Japanese fixation with trying to eroticise rape?). . . If you want to see where Tarantino pinched his ideas from, this is a good place to start. These films were churned out on a production line, but were so much better made than Western exploitation films. The ultimate "PInky Violence" film, featuring Reilko Ike's famous naked swordfight in the snow, vivid psychedelic photography and a cool soundtrack (in places reminiscent of Casino Royale)

Rating based on the previous Step Up movies

The leads are excellent and the direction is effortless and masterful. I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the low rating on Rotten Tomatoes, because this movie definitely deserves a higher score. Smart, surprising and fun

Shinkai will get your feels going, but more because of how relatable the subject matter is rather than the inherent strength of the story. Absolutely ridiculously incredible backgrounds, heavy emotions, lackluster characters

Imagination on steroids

I wondered at the end of the movie: "Brian De Palma wants the soldiers to come back, doesnt he? So why doesnt he say that? Why doesnt he show what these guys are experiencing down there?" I rly didnt understand his point of view about the whole war stuff. Brian De Palma chooses a good filming to document the events, choosing some unknown actors, but delivering half the message he has in mind. the rape perpetrated by the US soldiers is something tough and appalling

Everytime i see this DVD at work, i'm tempted to buy it, but i always stop myself thinking that it will just trun out to be a Japanese Tinto Brass movie
