Jim H (jp) wrote: Belle and Sebastian's songs highlight this story about a depressed woman who forms a band with a quirky hipster.Tonally inconsistent, God Help the Girl splits its personality from a so-quirky-it's-sweet love-ish story to a sad tale about a woman's struggle with mental illness. It is as though director Stuart Murdoch couldn't figure out what story to craft with the assortment of songs.Emily Browning, Olly Alexander, and Skins and Game of Thrones alum, the ever-delightful Hannah Murray all give hipster-cute performances that should be in a different movie, one that actually takes advantage of their charms.Overall, if you're tired of the hipster aesthetic, you should see the opposite of this film.

ankush j (jp) wrote: Hmm.. the story may not have much to offer and cinematographer may have used bokeh excessively. but the movie still is watchable and enjoyable. some positives are neil's accent and his delivery, deepika's acting, beautiful sets which are of similar quality which we last saw in parineeta. Loads of melodrama yet no big cheesy SRK type dialogues. mushy sequences and and some great songs.negatives: predictable story. a bit too slow. and factually haywire. they all live in chawl in mumbai yet they all have pulsur 220 n blackberry. It is dramatic bollywood movie, and it is not that dumb.

An admirable hobby some might say but not the poor scottish people being hunted hrough the streets of Edinbrough. The ensuing chase has exciting points and keeps you enthralled. I personally would have liked to see the Dr Who bitch get shot in the face but then thats how I roll.

Farah R (de) wrote: A slow paced horror relying on its eerie atmosphere and effective plot to bring a few good scares to the screen. But fails miserably in establishing a proper supernatural horror vibe.

Scott M (nl) wrote: Ron Perlman hams it up in this otherwise subdued tale of vampirism. The lead character is sympathetic as he struggles with his unfortunate transformation.

Kyle G (it) wrote: A sprawling, very beautiful ode to music and the crazy badasses who make it. There are a few too many mentions of penises, and some of the comic set pieces in the second act don't hang together as well as they should, but altogether it's a very thoughtful and poetic drama.
