The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

A TV adaptation of Washington Irving's classic ghost story. Humor is the drawing card in this version, with Jeff Goldblum a nerdish Ichabod Crane, Dick Butkus an appropriately nasty Brom Bones, and Meg Foster as spirited Katrina van Tassel. Angered that Katrina has grown fond of schoolmaster Crane, Brom Bones determines to scare off the interloper by filling his head with spooky tales of a Headless Horseman. Crane pooh-poohs the legends, until one fateful ride home in the dark of night.

Gano varios premios internacionales. No es facil adquirirla en Mexico.

Ali S (ru) wrote: I have to say, Balto wasn't bad. What it lacked in animation and visual effectiveness, it made up for in story. The whole way through I found myself routing for the underdog (pardon the pun) and the ending was very satisfying. The best part was that this is a cartoon based on an incredible true story. So, while this certainly cannot compare to other high-end animated features, it is certainly worth a watch.

Pradeep B (de) wrote: in start it feels.... that it will be very touching and some good performances..but treatment was pretty ordinary...expecting much higher from Julia

Matthew C (de) wrote: Halloween 4 is the best sequel up to this point in the franchise. It brings back some of the suspense that made the first film so great and has likable characters. The ending is well done and overall is better than the previous two sequels.

Philip D (us) wrote: why do i like this film?its just visually a great film to watch theres not a lot to it but what the hell it has bobby darin ,sandra dee(this is the film where they met and where shortly married after}. rock hudson who actually is quite a decent comic actor and more importantly for me the almost unbelievably beautiful gina lollobrigida i have seen many of her films but cant think of another where she looks so lovely in every scene. come september is a gentle comedy that benefits from a good looking cast and some lovely italian countryside not a brilliant film but a warm one which makes me enjoy it

David F (de) wrote: The continuing adventures of Harry Palmer, bespectacled master spy played with droll aloofness by Michael Caine. Although the Palmer series is thought of as a more deadpan version of the Bond series, this particular chapter owes a lot to the better known franchise, with an outrageous over the top performance by Ed Begley as a maniacal Texas anti-communist bent on making the cold war a little hotter. The real attraction though is Caine himself surrounded by ultra-mod Finnish furniture and bleak winter landscapes - so cool he's practically inert. Any passing resemblance to Austin Powers is not accidental.

Art S (it) wrote: Absorbing (and unpredictable) tale that examines the aftermath of the assassination of the head of the Nazi occupation ("the Hangman") in Czechoslovakia for both the resistance and the occupiers. Our sympathies lie with Brian Donlevy (the assassin) and the woman he accidentally drags into the fight (Anna Lee), whose father (Walter Brennan, a university professor here) is already under suspicion by the occupation. "Bert" Brecht contributed to the story/screenplay and sued the producers when he didn't get the primary credit -- some traces of his philosophy remain but this is a thriller in the Hollywood mode of the time.
