Facebook U (fr) wrote: Well done and Michelle is herself quite the beauty. Unfortunately, and maybe it's impossible, Michelle doesn't have the je ne sais quoi that made Marilyn so fetching. Michelle does her impression well enough in the drama queen side of Marilyn, since we don't have much of an idea there. Eddie does come up as smitten and his bits work. Kenneth as Laurence Olivier grabs the film and gives it a good spin, which helps tremendously. Sweet and sour story.

Lack of jobs resulting into proverty, which results into drugs and addiction. Addiction made by the maker. Every caper should watch this. It's shocking.

I'll never look at a concert piano the same way again after learning about the all of the months of sweat, craftsmanship, and magic that goes into making one. I even discovered some new great piano pieces that I'd like to add to my collection of recordings. One aspect not covered: I would have liked to see how they make the keys -- one of the "prettiest" parts of a piano.

The father and son in this movie share a relationship like no other ever caught on film, and that is gets you to watch the movie.. waiting to see where it all goes. And where is that destination? It depends on each individual's interpretation. I loved the fact that the sound is so weird. There are many times that you could swear the actors are not really conversing, but that you are listening to a voiceover. Therefore, you are never quite sure if what you are seeing is what is happening or what the characters are imagining. And, to me, that makes the movie a much better experience.

An enjoyable ride, a fun story, a tribute to 70s - 80s bands, a tribute to rock and roll, a movie about music journalism, a movie about a growing up and being cool. It makes you think, laugh, it's unexpected and it leaves you with a good taste of mouth. I didn't particularly like Kate Hudson's character, but not because I think she should be different, but in the sense she acted really annoying like she was supposed to and thus was very successful.

Who knew the cancan was less of a line dance and more of an acrobatic tumble? Jean Gabin plays the aging impresario who can't keep his finances or love life in order with the same sort of resignation he displays as the aging gangster in Touchez Pas Au Grisbi, made in the same year.
