I was expecting something twisted, something warped, but ultimately there was no payout. I believe this to be the worst soundtrack for a flick I've ever heard, by the end, the last few minutes of the film, I had to fast forward through the last musical number for fear that I'd have to kill myself to escape the horror. Not worth the time invested to watch it.

Matthew O (br) wrote: 'What Just happened' is In a Similar vain to the film The Player. The film follows a Hollywood film producer and a week in his life. Casting Robert De Niro as the lead is an inspiring choice. The reason being is at the core Deniro is one of the biggest Hollywood actors of his generation, and a difficult person to get on with within the industry, a main theme of the film with both the Deniro character and the actors within the story of the film example Bruce Willis playing Bruce Willis. Ben (Deniro) has two main challenges, the first is with a film and the films director who are struggling to conform to the Hollywood style of film making. The film's controversial ending, which sees the hero's dog take a bullet to the head in lurid close-up, proves a sticking point; a shock to the system which Ben likens to the audience taking their kids to Disneyland and seeing "Mickey Mouse douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire." The other problem is Bruce Willis failing to shave off his beard. 'What just happened' is not an all out comedy and mainy of the jokes miss the mark, but the film works better as an inside look at the industry, which the viewer hasn't seen in film format for a while. The film will not stick your mind for long. Still as is proven Robert Deniro seems to be making better comedies than Dramas recently, so his performance alone is worth the price of admission.

All that being said I give it one star but i can't say that this film fully deserves it.

Riff J (ru) wrote: A fantastic new horror movie that definitely separates itself from the pack by rewriting the horror blueprint. The acting is great, the story is interesting, and the scares are there. For a change, even the scenes between scares are scary and interesting.

Adrian W (br) wrote: Liked it alot, it started out as a horror and alot of mystery. Than advanced to mix of action and run like hell. It was pretty good story. Wishing for Sequel. (apparently it suppose to be a trilogy. So i am hoping for books at very least)

Scott C (jp) wrote: What a cast! It's not quite a classic, but still really fun. I'd love to see it again one day.

Brandon W (au) wrote: Wake In Fright is a great Australia film that shows the life in Australia. The plot is very simple which can be just a way to introduce the Australian people, but it is very effective. The best part of the movie is Donald Pleasence as he is really great, and his character is good. The main guy is really good, and the character transition is great and never seem out of place. Whether or not it's good, there's a memorable scene that would really horrify people. It really surprised me that they actually do it, and is shocking that people actually do those things. It's a slow film which I was worried, and got a little bored in some scenes, but that's it. I think it's one of those films that people can study this and say that this film is more thought provoking than you thought towards the psychological parts, and it'll be fine.
