Angeline M (nl) wrote: The abrupt shifts from comedic moments to the meat of the drama can sometimes be jarring, but Jesse Eisenberg's neurotic prodigy is compelling enough to keep the story from completely drifting off. Melissa Leo is fine as the druggie mother with the rocky relationship with her son, and even Tracy Morgan does alright in a somewhat off-genre project for him. The movie however never quite decides what kind of movie it wants to be, and mediocrely accomplishes a tone in between. In the end, while trying to be everything all at once, 'Why Stop Now' doesn't end up with much at all.

I watched this film on my own one saturday night and was dreeding this movie till the end however the ending did pick up. In short The movie is about some dumb a$$ teens who drive a landrover over a grizzlys cub and then the grizzly starts to kill them off one by one. In long A bunch of ignorant teens are out messing around and they run over some gizzlys cub and the grizzly starts to kill the 4 of them off one by one. Basically this movie is a movie to avoid i orginally watched it thinking it would be an awesome remake of the movie grizzly but i really was dissiapointed. The killings kept you barely intrested under the fact that they are covered with a stupid blood splatter over the screen which looks fake none the less. And finally the acting from the cast is very very bad. However the did use a real life bear and thats the biggest achivement this movie has going for it. JSR
Mike C (us) wrote: Great review says this movie is bad enough to possibly keep watchers from reading David Foster Wallace. Despite the surprisingly big cast, it fails pretty much at everything. Krasinski is okay on The Office but I don't think he's that great otherwise. He's definitely riding the success of The Office. Foster wrote really long, highly-respected novels. And then he killed himself. At 80 minutes, this movie was already suspect. Not having ever read Wallace, it's hard to say how short the movie fell. The movie is mostly monologues describing men's attractions/thoughts/relationships with women. Nothing very profound and nothing really moving. Surely Wallace was better than this.

Joe H (ru) wrote: I watched "Anita" in preparation for the much-heralded St. Louis debut of von Trier's "Nymphomaniac: Volume 1"... And I'm still not sure what to make of this bizarre film. Is it a serious psychosexual drama? Then why does the director seem so eager to have his hot star disrobe on the flimsiest of pretexts? Wait a second, is this a cheesy sexploitation flick or a porno? Then why all of the lengthy, earnest dialogue? There are scenes in which Lindberg conveys sincere personal anguish. The film possesses none of the tongue-in-cheek playfulness that one associates with those genres. It's like Russ Meyer and Ingmar Bergman decided to co-direct a film.

Matt D (jp) wrote: Ok, I'm a Crumb fan. I know that Crumb was horrified by what the studios did to his beloved Fritz The Cat (which is why he eventually killed off the character) but I am still a Fan of those movies. I'm sorry Robert, really I am, but I thought they were good movies! This film is better! if you liked the Fritz movies, you'll love this! Extremely political, violent, and funny. Deals very intensely with Racism in the united states in the 60's and 70's. The animation is great, the use of live action footage was good, the music was amazing! I don't know what to say really. films like this are hard to discuss without getting off track. Basically this is Blaxploitation at it's finest! So if yr a fan of the genre, you'll dig this. I'd really like to see this done on a stage! anyways, watch it! it's good.
