The Man in the White Suit

The unassuming, nebbishy inventor Sidney Stratton creates a miraculous fabric that will never be dirty or worn out. Clearly he can make a fortune selling clothes made of the material, but may cause a crisis in the process. After all, once someone buys one of his suits they won't ever have to fix them or buy another one, and the clothing industry will collapse overnight. Nevertheless, Sidney is determined to put his invention on the market, forcing the clothing factory bigwigs to resort to more desperate measures...

John F (kr) wrote: An important, powerful film about a very disturbing human rights violation (children forced into the sex trade). Ron Livingston plays an American with dark secrets of his own in an important and well made film that is both a call to action and a compelling drama that doesn't "preach".

SV G (nl) wrote: A good but not grand movie based on the true story of a man who goes back to a tribe in the Amazon to meet the native who murdered his missionary father years before and comes to the realization his father's life 'was given, not taken'. This is beautifully filmed, and well acted, however its so dryly narriated it loses heart along the way.

He is a steadfast force in the fight for the rights of all citizens. This piece is a collection of speeches and interviews he has delievered or granted on the topics of media, power, and terror.

Cade H (ag) wrote: This was a fun, party movie that turned very serious about half way through. Up until that turning point there was some comedy, some crazy scenes and a night out on the town from a guys perspective and then from the girls perspective. It was very entertaining but it all led up to a rape allegation and you got to hear both sides of the story. When that happened all the fun characters from before became sad and depressed and it reminded me of an episode of Law and Order. The ending made no sense and it seemed like the writer/director got to that point and could not come up with a conclusion so he ended it with 2 people laying on a bed staring at the ceiling. If you like a good party movie followed by a decent crime drama then maybe you will enjoy this flick.

Aj V (fr) wrote: This isn't a well known movie of Ed Wood's, but I thought it was very good, especially the story. It's exciting and dramatic, but of course low budget and sort of cheesy, which I kinda liked. Anyway, if you like Wood's movies you should see this one too.

Dan H (au) wrote: Better than I thought, surprised by low rating. I did get a little motion sickness going though.

Ross H (ag) wrote: Absolutely awful. All I can say good about it is that its a great cast of very talented actors. Slow painful storyline, extremely predictable and not in the least bit scary or thrilling.
