Ryan H (br) wrote: The CGI is fantastic, the action is mostly great, and the acting is good enough. Unfortunately, that's not enough to save this train wreck of a film from itself. Most of the jokes are bad, and a complete lack of Will Smith doesn't help either. Overall, Resurgence is just as fun to look at as the original, but it lacks the same heart, and it does a better job setting up future sequels, prequels, and spin-offs than its own story.

Rick L (ca) wrote: Wanted to like it more--hard to buy some of the performances including Alan Rickman as Hilly--still, it's harmless, stupid homage-y fun.
Courtney K (jp) wrote: i found this through a fellow Dino-Doc enthusiast and i have one word to say: YAAAAAAAAS! granted, this was more focused on the extinction of the dinosaurs versus the life of dinosaurs like i would have liked, but SO FAR this is the best dinosaur documentary i've ever watched. this is the first of my fellow non-companion's list which i've watched so i'm excited to go through the rest!
Eric T (es) wrote: A very charming movie that I can't really say I have many problems with. One interesting thing about it is that the way it's shot and structured, it almost feels like a TV comedy. I feel like this idea would make for a good hour long comedy series. It's just a fun little movie. I highly recommend it.
Mad M (ru) wrote: First and foremost, Bichir destroyed this role. Amazing performance. Serious subject matter, that manages to stay light enough to be easy to watch. The film isn't groundbreaking, but it feels fresh. There are some cliches, but movie steers around them.

Steve O (mx) wrote: pretty dismal effort & despite having the 'smack the pony' girls featuring heavily, there is really very little to enjoy, or laugh at even. doesn't work as a homage to classic historical comedies as it just isn't funny, shame...

mike h (mx) wrote: Theres just no pleasing anyone, ever, people who are critics, or the masses have no taste and never like anything good ever. the film critic or masses couldn't make a fucking movie too save their lives, all the can do is watch, but they can never understand or see how some movies are good, great awesome, ahead of there time, people are all sheep, and just dont get anything cool, funny, or get anything for that matter, its a real shame, we live in a world of empty dead zombies who are pointless.

Alexander W (us) wrote: The acting is fairly good, and there is a lot of it. Don't be suprised not to find too much "high seas adventure" but more trasure and plunder. Black and White. focused more on story than much else. but with some beautiful scenes none the less.
Steve G (au) wrote: The flirting is so awkward that only a hollywood writer could have written it. Why would she give a hoot about him? A poor, white man's Beverly Hills Cop. There are some witty lines, but they often go too far into hack screenwriter territory. He acts as though he believes he's charming us more than he is. Past the halfway point and I don't really know what the plot is about. But it's kinda fun anyway. We should see more of what Fletch knows. The banquet scene is embarrassingly bad. Poorly edited. Could have focused on the worry about shooting the man, and other deeper issues. Would've made it much better. Amusing enough to watch, though.
Greg R (ru) wrote: A classic comedy. I really don't know what to say else to say about it, the slapstick classic, the characters are classic, the performances are unforgettable. I'd still prefer Christmas Vacation being my favorite of the film series, but this is still a wonderful comedy, one of the best.
