John T (br) wrote: I saw this French flick with my sister. This was pretty damn good. Everything in it looked amazing. It's set in the very near future and the technology is much better. I liked how they integrated it so causally without focusing on it. The technology was used as tools. That wasn't really what the movie was about. It just happened to be there. This is about a cop who goes back on the force to catch the killer of his wife. The plot was a bit crazy and it wasn't easy to follow all the time. It was also a bit slow moving for the most part, but there is some good action scenes and again, it looked great. And my sister and I are still laughing at how horrible the girl cop is. She lets a killer out of his handcuffs and allows him to take her gun. Then later hands a gun to another killer after watching him kill someone in front of her... who trains these guys?

Matt W (ru) wrote: The feeling where you don't know what to say. I have been experiencing this a lot lately.Mainly because I have been watching a lot of generic films. I just felt a little empty at the end of the film. The main downfall of this is Dan Fogler, who is really quite awful in this. There was no charm to him. They tried to give him some development, then about 30 minutes in- you lose it all, and you just get him shouting loudly.Anna Faris was fine in the film, but her story could have been cut out, and the story or film wouldn't have changed. It seemed they just used her for the name.I actually just wanted to concentrate on the single relationship between Topher Grace, even though his character is a little unlikable- but Teresa Palmer and Grace did seem to have some chemistry, that i wished we could have concentrated more on, instead of getting outlandish stupidity. There were a few chuckles, and a nice central romance. But Dan Fogler. That is all.

Dylan K (nl) wrote: this is easily my least favorite film the ever made it ruins the idea of making the mask into a franchise screw Jamie Kennedy who plays the leading role in this film it is nothing more than an epic fail and it deserves to go burn in hell where it belongs

Andy C (kr) wrote: Pretty haunting, but the languoring shots didn't really make sense to me. Call me impatient, but after awhile, I don't care to stare at that lighthouse anymore.

jay n (ag) wrote: The actors are better than the script in this conventional noir. The story is a standard double cross scenario but if you're a fan of either Lancaster or Douglas or both this rarely shown drama will offer a glimpse of them at the beginning of their careers and both display the movie star charisma that put them on the map.

Samuel M (au) wrote: Ryan Reynolds is a really good actor. This is a nice little film with some great scenes.

Andrew C (gb) wrote: Clint Eastwood is one of the most prolific directors of our age and arguably the best; while he's known for his lightning fast work pace, his movies generally reflect a more leisurely stroll. Not only does Clint bring his mastery to play in guiding this movie but his reputation attracts an all-star cast that puts multiple Oscar winners & nominees in the first six roles. The result is a long, slow movie that somehow is still constantly moving in a way that draws you in to the lives of Bostonians wrestling with generations of crime and dysfunction--riveting, compelling, haunting. 6/20/9

Paul O (kr) wrote: This tale isn't so much about finding a human penis to be displayed in the Icelandic phallological museum, but more of the story of the men who are willing to donate. Particularly the pathological American who takes penis obsession to a whole new level.
