Natalie O (ca) wrote: I decided to sleep on my review of this film because I'm torn. It is indeed difficult to watch because the two leads are rather pathetic. At first I thought it was because they were meant to represent my generation but like the series "Girls", I just can't identify with girls who a) can run to mummy and daddy for money and b) not care about themselves or other people. Also, do people really take cheques in this day and age?
Claudia C (br) wrote: I don't 7nderstand the need to compare it to other musicals. If you rate it out its own merit it is fun and the songs are perfect love the 80's and love this movie
Jay P (jp) wrote: A movie I wanted to like, with actors I adore, that was a basically slow moving mess. This movie actually might be the end of watching Henry Cavill for me. I didn't care for his Superman, and this was pretty weak.

Adam R (au) wrote: A little too similar to Rush Hour, but it's a step down. Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan just don't gel together and the movie itself is tiring. (First viewing - Teen years)
Branden W (ca) wrote: Truly the third Creepshow of the trilogy, Tales From the Darkside is an underrated classic. The first story, 'Lot 249', features a young Steve Buscemi, who upon obtaining an antique mummy, summons the mummy from the dead with magic. The other stories are true horror stories in the purest sense of the term. The Creepshow franchise is one of the better horror trilogies of the past few decades, taking its inspiration from 50's E.C. horror comics and traditional short story horror tales in the vein of Blackwood, Poe, and Lord Dunsany. The stories are bookended by a Hansel and Gretel-esque scenario, led by Blondie vocalist Deborah Harry as 'the witch'. A true horror gem.

Dan K (jp) wrote: A very memorable film with some very funny moments. You'd think the Gypsies gag would get old but they sure don't! Gary Cooper, makes for a strange opposite of Audrey Hepburn but I think by the end of the film you'll find yourself falling in love with the story. Great acting, some really great cinematic moments... I had to stop the film at a couple places and just look at the beautiful shots! Not either actors best film but it is very fun, funny and well worth a watch!
Holger H (jp) wrote: If you think Hollywood remakes are a recent trend, think again: This is the remake of French classic Pepe Le Moko. Jean Gabin's part is played by Charles Boyer and his fatal attraction is played by Hedy Lamarr in her first US movie. Good, entertaining classic.
