(au) wrote: Really good movie, don't expect to be laughing out loud though.
(br) wrote: Great genre-bending film, may be one of my all-time favorites.
(ca) wrote: There's definitely a "dumb fun" vibe to most of the movie, that is until it turns into a cheap rip-off of The Matrix.
(us) wrote: Meet the Spartans is a painful and horrible one idea "comedy" that was possibly produced, written, and directed by drunk adults with the mindset of teenagers

(au) wrote: Jackie Chan is in prime form along with his two Peking Circus friends, Yuen Biao and the inimitable Sammo Hung (aka Fatty). Jackie plays a mob lawyer (!!!) who defends some pretty bad guys; for his latest case, he needs his dragon buddies to help him gather information about the opposing side. However, both Jackie and Sammo end up falling in love with the lead witness and plaintiff (respectively) from the other side -- cue long romantic interlude with Jackie's usual comedy of embarrassment. Of course, the only reason to check this out is the action and, although there is no single death-defying stunt to attract attention to the film, the actual hand-to-hand fight scenes are among the most sustained and dextrous that I can remember in a Chan film. Jackie, Sammo, and Biao are incredible on their own but the three way fights are pretty great, as is the finale in the drug factory (after Jackie switches to the side of good, of course).
(mx) wrote: it was very bloody and very cleaver for a plotline i do reccomend this but its campy horror .and fun
(kr) wrote: Dancing is good, The music is half mediocre and half great, Jane is cute and Fred is excellent but the opposite leads are rather bland. Which is interesting because Lawford isn't usually. Cute enough.

(nl) wrote: This is a sweet, happy film about love overcoming ideology, nationality, and geography, and one that doesn't feel the need to beat us over the head with it, with romance spilling out of its seams... Garbo laughs... and for very good reason-she is being loved Silly--Ninotchka would hate to see her country endangered by her silk underwear... A Lovable Garbo, the 'Lubitsch Touch' and Scintillating Wit from Wilder and His Cronies creates a Timeless piece of Romance!!
(fr) wrote: Like 'Degeneration' it follows in the universe of the games and not the shitty Mila Jovovich explosofests. The long going plot is still convoluted and the dialogue is still corny but its a damn fun and beautifully rendered spook show and another treat for long faithful fans.
(fr) wrote: Even as of a fan of the show, a usual 30 minutes dragged into 105 minutes, doesn't particularly works. The script is weak and the usually good actors Grenier, Piven, Connolly, Ferrarea and Dillon, sleep walk throughout he film. I did laugh a few times and the cameos are clever but I feel our time has come to an end with this story. 06-12-2016
