Nick B (au) wrote: This was an obvious attempt at a return to form by Ritchie at a low point both personally and professionally. Does it work? Yes and no, but mostly no. The cast of characters is charismatic and well portrayed, the dialogue sharp. The story... is as convoluted as anything I've ever seen. Despite their large ensemble casts and their intertwining stories, "Lock Stock..." and "Snatch" have an impressive economy of plot and are never confusing. The same can't be said for this film. It's all over the place in a very bad way. A sad case of too much being more than enough.

Justin V (kr) wrote: fans of the film frost/nixon should backtrack a little and check this out. as good as frank langella was in ron howard's oscar nominated film he is that much better here. starting out in the evening is such a beautiful film full of regret - each character longs for better, or at least different. it moves a little slowly but that can be forgiven when the viewer realizes the message conveyed behind it...

Sumit B (ag) wrote: There wasnt much similarities with "Love Actually". "Love Actually" was better movie than this but I don't think this movie is bad. It was pretty well made. There are some lows in the script but the whole movie is executed pretty well.

Mark D (br) wrote: All a bit mental yentl but that's Mister Bjork for you. Loved seing the exhibition at SFMOMA that pulls from this. Compulsive... but bum numbing as a film. You want to get up and go look at a lump of ambergris, for example, in the gallery every once in a while.

Tim R (ru) wrote: Director Joseph Losey is an acquired taste. He's made great films (Trotsky) and some real boring ones as well. He likes being enigmatic, sometimes to the point of tedium. This is a near great film and Alien Delon nails his Kafkaesque character to the cross....Find it and watch it, but don't get mad at me if you hate it.

James S (fr) wrote: Probably more epic by historical standards, but to a 'the sopranos' loving fan in 2015, it's a pretty tame and subtle movie. Great performance from di Niro, who I have never ever seen play a character like that, and he does it so well. Not the Robert di Niro I know. Apparently was one of the first movies to successfully integrate rock music, showing it's an old classic and probably deserves more love than I am willing to give. As a fan of the godfather, goodfellas and the sopranos, this movie doesn't do much for me.

Tim M (jp) wrote: "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is a run of the mill horror film with flat characters and so few good scares that the viewer can count them on one hook. This movie is known for launching the careers of its teen stars, but standing alone, it's far less impressive.
