The Miles Davis Story
This British documentary shows the complex layers of legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, who was a major innovator in post-bop, cool jazz, hard-bop and fusion. Davis's raw-edged trumpet tones were some of the most evocative sounds ever heard. This profile captues the magnificent and mercurial artist -- one of the most identifiable and misunderstood pop icons of the 20th century -- through rare footage and interviews.

(it) wrote: This item has explosions on the cover which makes it intrinsically sweet and worth 5 stars by itself, but once I watched it , that's when the magic happened. After watching this movie , I walked from my trailer to Wal-mart with the movie in hand and was immediately approached by a women. The women knew from the explosions on the cover that I, like a freerunner, am a mysterious loner who knows how to 'Kong to Cat' from time to time (if you catch my drift!). The women that approached me wanted to know if I would be their boyfriend and/or give them money for something they called mehth. I told them no, because they didn't have enough teeth, and frankly a man with a freerunner movie shouldn't settle for the first thing that comes to him. I arrived at Wal-mart, mounted my courtesy-scooter (walking is such a drag!) sitting side saddle so that my movie case would show. While I was browsing tube socks, I could hear aroused asthmatic breathing behind me. I turned around to see a slightly sweaty dream in sweatpants and flip-flops standing there. She told me she liked the explosions on my movie case, I told her I wanted to kong precision her breasts. She offered me a swig from her mountain dew, and I drove my scooter, with her shuffling along side out the door and into the rest of our lives. Thank you "Freerunner" Pros: Rewatchability is 10/10, has explosions (And Dylan Baker) on it, attracts women.Cons: Only 2 explosions (could probably use a few more on the 'guns'), cannot see explosions on the case in the dark, Dylan Baker dies in the trailer for this movie.

It's a very artistic film in its use of color filters (like the matrix), and its attention to the little details of the environment combined with the music which really suits the film and sets the perfect mood. I was sure this movie rated 3/5 stars at best until the climax, where I really wanted to give it 4/5 stars but it just didn't quite make it there. The acting is is sub par with it's only saving grace being the thick accents of the actors disguising the somewhat cheesy dialogue. The movie was good and is worth a watch, if you are into sci-fi movies specifically ones related to the question of "what is reality?" (also very similar to the matrix). If the movie had a higher budget, a lot more character develoment, and you could ignore the fact that this type of movie has been done many times before, it could have been a great movie, worthy of 4 maybe even 5 stars. The cinematography was great and it was not too heavy on speacial effects which is good because I think that could have really hurt the movie. If you like slow paced movies that make you think and are a fan of computer related sci-fi with a little bit of mystery then you will enjoy this film.
