(gb) wrote: Awesome anime, by the makers/director of the also awesome Appleseed movies. Can't wait till robot suits are available!
(gb) wrote: A half heartfelt story about four brothers avenging their mother's death, and a half comedy. Great to watch, plenty of action, but I could not help but wonder if it would not have been better if the serious scenes were, well... serious.
(nl) wrote: Excellent black comedy about the treatment of the elderly as nuisances, even (or especially) by family members. Don't start a family--having none is better than having one that neglects or infantilizes you.
(kr) wrote: One of my favorite Hitchcock films, if only for the clever dialog and cute little Shirley MacLaine as the single mother whose son ensnares her in a black comedy for about a day or so.Well worth a look, give it a rental.
(br) wrote: Not the vehicle to demonstrate Monroe at her finest and with very few comedic moments Gentleman Prefer Blondes falls into the over hyped film genre.
(mx) wrote: Very imaginative, but as it turned out, the filmmaker?s depiction of 1980 was quite inaccurate! Quite bizarre really. There aren?t too many classic sci-fi musicals out there! It?s certainly worth a look.
(jp) wrote: Don't see why the critics panned this so much. It's an enjoyable way to spend an hour and a half with the kids and is more than a little better than the over-the-top cutesie, powder puff, Disney sequel crap we're forced to sit through. It may not be enough for older audiences, but you realise this is a PG and the film demographic adults right??
(gb) wrote: A bad horror movie. Don't see this because is a waste of time.
(it) wrote: Giving this film the happy ending that is expected; Wouldn't of made the impact that it has. I also read that the canings were real and the boys were payed an extra 50p for their trouble!
