David L (es) wrote: Monsters vs. Aliens has some solid characters, fine acting and the humor is pretty good, but the action is so bland and overwhelming, some characters are annoying, the plot is uninspired and boring and the whole film is too fast paced and too annoying to be enjoyed more. It has its moments, but it is mostly such a forgettable experience and a middling effort for DreamWorks Animation.

A very good film about the rhetoric that people follow in communism. Acted very well by all and despite having its dark points the black humour is well written and placed in the film perfectly especially with the officers reading Joan's letters to Stalin. The switches from Past to Present is very clever & the ending is very clever. For those who want to see examples of great Australian Cinema watch this film.

Jeff T (kr) wrote: This is a funny film, very hip and savvy. Lubitsch rocked. Merle Oberon is unhappy in her marriage to her husband who pokes her for fun. "Keeks!!" She gets an inexplicable case of the hiccups everytime her husband is mentioned in conversation. Until she meets The Other Man, a young Burgess Meredith as a bohemian curmudgeon pianist. A classic, and in places it's laugh out loud funny. Lubitsch was one of the best, prompting those eulogizing him to lament, "No more Lubitsch...Worse than that, no more Lubitsch films."

Melissa R (us) wrote: I'll admit that I have been following this film for quite a while. I heard of it on twitter last year when it had a different title, and have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival ever since. Well - this film did NOT let me down. What a brilliant film! I have never in my 10 years of intense film viewing seen a film that looks like this one. Sure the story is a simple one, but it doesn't matter - in the end - you find yourself so sucked in by what's going on and what the characters are going through simply based on the acting ability and the circumstance. This director has done something truly unique with his vision - as I said - I've never seen a film that looks like this. It is by far the most claustrophobic movie I've ever experienced, and I've seen Buried and The Descent. My heart was racing multiple times during this movie, and I found myself holding my breath and then gasping for air! I am a huge fan of strong women leads in movie and I definitely have a new favorite! Nicole Alonso as TANK is so bad ass and inspiring and manages to play it with such believability and she's very relatable. Watching her I could see myself being in that situation and questioning whether I'd have the strength to keep fighting the way she does. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but please, please, PLEASE see this movie! Apparently this is a trilogy and I for one cannot WAIT for the next two installments!
