The New Daughter

John James is a writer; his wife has left him. He moves with his two middle-school children to an isolated house off a dirt road in South Carolina. The property has an Indian burial mound, which fascinates his daughter, Louisa, who's entering puberty.

After moving to a secluded woodland home, a single father is puzzled by his daughter's increasingly strange behavior that might have something to do with a burial ground near his property. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Sabrina E (gb) wrote: Un film sur la condition de la femme egyptienne victime d'un harcelement sexuel quasi constant. Un film pas manicheen et bien fait qui laisse songeur....

Lisa B (de) wrote: I thought it was apretty average movie, til the end, when it made me cry. Good film.

Kyle M (nl) wrote: A lot of situations in this movie seem to be turning into something more, but in fact, they are nothing more than just scenes. Overall a very disjointed and incomplete movie. Also, quite boring.

Thilina M (us) wrote: The Insider [1999], The Constant Gardener [2005], Thank You For Smoking [2005]Michael Clayton reminds such movies.

Christel V (jp) wrote: Een lieve film! Hartverwarmend! Dit had ook heel rauw en dramatisch gebracht kunnen worden, maar dat was niet nodig. Happy end een beetje voorspelbaar, maar dat was eigenlijk niet erg.

Bryan R (fr) wrote: The only things "entertaining" about this 90-minute long Sprite commercial are everything it gets wrong. On one hand you have Steve Harvey trying to make a pathetic attempt to put himself back into the Hollywood consciousness, why he chose this movie for that purpose I don't know, and on the other hand you have negative racial stereotypes that have plagued much of the Hip-Hop/Black American culture since the dawn of the 2000s. This movie has no redeemable qualities and nothing can be said or done to justify its existence or salvage such a pitiful waste of a movie. Stay away!

Satira sociale americana davvero pungente.

Alissa S (es) wrote: this movie was boring; i found myself drifting off a few times. the plot, although realistic, seemed very choppy... and that is what made this movie fall flat. the sequence of events didn't make any sense to me. half a star for the acting.

Antonia K (mx) wrote: a feeling good movie!

Michelle M (ru) wrote: Good movie for children to educate them on a beautiful eastern religion. It's conceptual premise is weakly portrayed in the story's writing. The one thing I'd say if monks came to my door and said they wanted to bring my son to Tibet is: "Wtf? This is insane?" Id have to go to the fridge, grab a cocktail, breathe deeply, and sit these monks down for a long talk. This is not an entertaining movie for adults. Any right minded adult would be watching this and continuously distracted by the unrealistic personalities of the characters. What ashame... Could have been a neat fantasy story -

Dave R (kr) wrote: horrible music, predictable story and some japanese actors whose japanese sounds as bad as their english. if you're in the mood for an 80s cop flick this movie fits the formula.

Jack T (jp) wrote: Ok movie, it didnt have the best special effects

Thomas T (gb) wrote: What a bad, Americanized look at a franchise that meant everything to my childhood.

Jose Luis M (ag) wrote: Inusual fim de accin del britnico Joe Wright, como siempre sobresale Cate Blanchett.
