An intricate love story of a ghost searching for her lover from the 1930s in Cantonese with subtitles. My favourite Chinese film depicting the best of old chinese customs and beauty

I really hated this movie. I hated this movie. This film takes something as enjoyable and goofy as "Leprechaun" and makes it boring, cheap, and tedious

For some reason my favorite Kurasawa films are the lesser known. they are both overcome. I ll never forget the scene when the master and the student make a little pilgrimage to a shrine and the see a woman in prayer, her innocence and purity are palpable. There is a great deal of catharsis because of the compelling presentation of realities at the heart of human existence. Its great and beautiful. There is a showdown. But his enemy, westernizing fop, is out for glory. The young Sugata is taken from an aimless life to one filled with purpose in the pursuit of spiritual ideals through his practice of Judo. This film deals with the central issue of human life: good and evil

Quite bittersweet and just about the best movie he ever made. Only four songs and all of fun to watch especially the title track. This is the only time Elvis does die on screen and the only time he was married at the beginning of the picture. Good solid western with good performances by Richard Egan, Debra Page and bad guy Aaron Neville. Too bad Presley didn't make more movies like this

Ultimately, this is a movie that features some significant "time capsule" moments but far too many moments of dated filmmaking. And, Forster's performance is more than a little heavy-handed. There are very long stretches of odd and unneeded scenes involving the cameraman's sex life that feel exploitive. But, my overall feeling about this film is that it is over-rated. It captures some potent moments during a a demonstration that devolves into a riot filled with police brutality. From an American history and cultural viewpoint, there is merit in MEDIUM COOL

For once it was Peter Cushing who ruined a movie

er!!!!!. . . . . . . . . A wierd movie, about a teenage photographer (Cryer), who literally stalks an older female singer (Moore) and becomes friends with her!! Not a lot happens, but it plods along pleasantly enough, 2 and a 1/2 out of 5! Watch out for Tim Robbins as the least convincing teenager
