John M (ca) wrote: Informative and entertaining doco of American movies made in the Philippines. The interview with John Landis is laugh out loud funny. Only problem is at 80 mins it feels a little long.

Arnaud L (es) wrote: There are glimpses of the Chu Yen Ping of old (the one of Fantasy Mission Force or Golden Queen Commando) but it just ends up being a dull movie for the most part.

Kyle C (es) wrote: Dogs are cute. Jokes are hit or miss. Dog lovers might enjoy this movie but there isn't really that much to say about it other than that. It's pretty forgettable.5/10 Okay

AD V (gb) wrote: Great development, poor pay-off. It had me until the end which falls into that oh-so-typical "surprise" ending.

brendan n (it) wrote: boring film with no real focus, the film could have been much more with more focus on script and character development. this comes across as nothing new and instantly forgettable

Lionel Witherspoon (Cleavant Derricks) A good reminder that even though things might be bad or hard, we're better off here in America than most counties. It's "AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!" without the gun ho, lets go occupy another third world country. I thought it was funny how one couldn't take a leak without the KBG interfering...kinda like the homeland airport security...No sir that's not a pipe bomb, that's my penis, please stop handling it. Nice message, but I will never watch it again.

Stuart K (br) wrote: After the international success of Last Tango in Paris (1972), Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci decided to go one further, and created this epic which lasted 5 hours, and was at the time the most expensive European film, getting funding from Paramount, Fox and United Artists. It's an endurance test to watch, but it's satisfying to have done it, but by God, it's heavy going. It begins in Northern Italy in 1900, and lasts until April 1945 and follows the life and friendship of Alfredo Berlinghieri (Robert De Niro), whose grandfather (Burt Lancaster) is a wealthy landowner. Then there's the illegitimate peasant Olmo Dalc (G (C)rard Depardieu), whose grandfather Leo (Sterling Hayden), is a socialist foreman, wanting the best for his workers. After World War 1, the new foreman is Attila Mellanchini (Donald Sutherland), a nasty, sadistic facist, who commits murder more than once. But, Alfredo, now the wealthy landowner doesn't do anything about it, leaving Olmo and the peasants to stand up against Attila, but Attila has a group of facists on his side, and there's another World War on the way. It's a hard watch, but well worth it. Bertolucci get's the best out of his cast, and Vittorio Storaro's cinematography is exquisite. But, for what is essentially an epic soap opera, did it really need to be 5 hours long?? You do get the nagging feeling that Bertolucci had something to prove.

Desperate to get some, Jim ventures to a nightclub where he is picked up by an older woman who happens to be vampire Countess. Not very entertaining, despite a few funny moments; on par with the similarly-themed My Best friend is a vampire. Laura Hutton is the highlight.
