He and his wife decided stock car driving was too dangerous and since then his wife has become the bread winner and he's become the useless dad. He works as a driver instructor in Australia. When a random driving lesson turns his lesson into a bank robbery, Peter's life turns a 180."I hired you.""You didn't hire me. You kidnapped me.""Semantics."Brian Trenchard-Smith, director of BMX Bandits, Night of the Demons 2, Leprechaun 3 & 4, The Cabin, and Absolute Deception, delivers Drive Hard. The storyline for this was dreadful and the characters didn't really match the actors. I thought the actors did below average performances despite including John Cusack, Thomas Jane, Christopher Morris, Damien Garvey, and Sam Cotton."What's there, a shortage of criminals?""Criminals can't be trusted."I grabbed this off of Netflix because it's generally pretty entertaining to watch John Cusak pictures. Unfortunately, this was a disaster. I didn't think Cusack or Jane were good fits for this film. This buddy movie was clumsy and all over the place. There were clever scenes but I wouldn't go out of my way to see this."I'm pressing charges because she's a menace to society."Grade: D

Abel D (fr) wrote: Not as polished as last time, this sequel to 'Chinatown' isn't as sleek, slick and sexy. This is down to a less focused and often convoluted script that can make first viewings trudgesome. However, we still have solid performances from another Grade A cast, as well as some excellent cinematography that still bears the same great use of colour as its predecessor.

The film shows the value of religious tolerance, with a horrifying story of what was then considered acceptable punishment for young offenders in the form of a very brutal reform school.
Zach M (fr) wrote: This film had a lot of good going for it with actors John Vernon and Samantha Eggar in it and a very cool movie poster. The problem is that it couldn't be more than a basic slasher film with a very easy ending. The mask the killer uses is pretty creepy looking and there were some decent scenes still, but as a whole it just doesn't hook you.
