(de) wrote: Good settings and picks of actors and actress in the context of Hong Kong, but the lines are a bit cliche.
(fr) wrote: I watched the film because it's Shane's baby. But boy was I disappointed. The only thing I liked about the entire movie was the stupid watermelon gag. The rest was just bad. I'm okay with raunchy jokes, but if your entire 90 minute movie is one raunchy joke after another, it's just bad. I honestly think Shane should stick to YouTube where he can do these jokes in a short video, rather than attempt to make them into a full-length movie.

(ru) wrote: At first I thought it was going to be one of the most dull movies ever, but it suprised me. It was actually kind of charming and funny.
(es) wrote: Aside from some really annoyingly one-note characters, and the fact that this movie at points feels more like a soft porn than a drama, Bully is a really solid, at times terrifying look into this messed up, and tragic true story that works thanks to the tension, and mood Larry Clark builds, and some really fantastic performances from the late Brad Refro, Rachel Miner, and Nick Stahl. It can feel a little sluggish at times, but the 3rd act is where the movie really starts to impress. Great ending too.

(de) wrote: Interesting film made with no money about what would have happened had the Nazis invaded and taken over Great Britain in World War II. Nice mixing of some stock WW II footage and newly shot footage is almost seamless. It took several years for Brownlow to make this one, but the effort was worth it and the film avoids the traps a lot of big budget, big star vehicles often fall into. The ending is particularly strong and good fodder for discussion. Good luck finding this one though--its not easy!

(us) wrote: Overall, this is a good movie. Yes, it does have some flaws in story presentation, BUT I like the message of this movie! They somewhat belabored this man's recovery; however, even as I say that it seems that it was necessary to convey this man's struggle with what happened to him, both physically and spiritually. Good movie if you stay with it. :)
