The Pipes

The Pipes

This three-part Austrian/Czech comedy stretches the boundaries of what is considered to be humorous. Part one finds a silent film actor upset because of a rival actor's attention to the former's wife. When he kills his rival, it is only when he is strapped to the electric chair that he realizes that this is his last live scene. The second episode has the wife of an elderly British nobleman having an affair with the young gamekeeper of their estate. Part three finds a peasant woman taking a lover when her husband goes off to fight the war.

Pablo G (fr) wrote: 4.3/5Strangely though necesairly paced, Walts with Bashir is both a beautiful and heart wrenching documentary that is brim with creativy and artsy impulses.

Austin B (au) wrote: Passionate and realistic film about the relationship between teachers and students; quite possibly the best film about education.

Nick M (ca) wrote: Rugrats Go Wild is, without a doubt, the worst of the Rugrats movies. Not to say, it's entertaining, it's just loses spirit of what made the other movies good. I liked the combining of both Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys and thought it was very cool how they tied to two in. Unfortunately, both shows aren't represented equally, in my opinion. The family from The Wild Thornberrys seems to take a backseat to all the Rugrats characters. Also, I remember seeing the previews for this and not being able to wait to hear Spike talk. While Bruce Willis does an admirable job, I just hated how they portrayed him in this movie.

James M (fr) wrote: Female Tarzan stuff which couldn't find an audience because it was deemed too sexy for family viewing and too dumb for adults. Also, it wasn't very good.

Tino P (br) wrote: Billy Wilder in full swing, Barbara Stanwyck's finest hour, and Fred MacMurray makes a great chump.

Braydan H (kr) wrote: It had moments of authenticity, but they didn't make up for the flat story.
