Adam T (it) wrote: Jessica Chastain is usually cast as the responsible, calming voice of reason with a face that conveys intellectual depth and moral responsibility so it is interesting to see her bravely stepping out of that comfort zone here in what is an Oscar-hungry performance. To be honest, we have seen the courtroom style thriller before in countless variations and it probably would be routine were it not for Chastain rising to the occasion.

Brett C (au) wrote: Flynn and Niven very natural, and Rathbone even cracks a smile as the not quite baddy. Some good flying scenes, mostly from the 1930 original, even if the aircraft are all wrong for 1915. But it was the time of the Fokker Scourge, so the events are trueish enough.

Al S (it) wrote: a must see for anyone who is remotely interested in watching a gripping drama about justice, democracy and world politics based on a true story! Very powerful, engaging and emotional movie that could have easily been a lot more graphic to truely shock its viewers but it spares them a lot of that as this true story itself is emotionally graphic enough.

Ken S (it) wrote: Ron Howard directs this fun and whimsical tale of some geriatrics who discover a sort of fountain of youth in a nearby pool, and as it turns out its rejuvenating properties come from the aliens who just moved in. Its a lovely little picture with a great cast and an ending that admittedly got me a little choked up. It's the performances and Howard's direction that really got me hooked, the the special effects are quite good too. Definitely recommended.

Chandler A (fr) wrote: One of the most disturbing and realistic portrayals of nuclear war ever made, a masterpiece of terror and despair. The ending will stick in your mind like a thorn forever.

Scott C (ru) wrote: Not enough moments of suspense to be a great thriller, but the lead characters are exceptionally appealing and the Australian setting is refreshing.

Althea M (us) wrote: Very weird. At least Christopher Lloyd gets the girl in a "later" movie.

Keira R (br) wrote: It's definitely a Julie Taymor film -- visually rich. I have to say, it's a bit of a weird story. They could've told the story without half the psychedelic bullshit, but at least the music is good. Grungy, gritty and it definitely looks/feels like 1960's Greenwich Village. I get it, but it's kind of a weird film (and I've seen "Midnight Cowboy"). All I need now is a joint, bell bottoms & some platform shoes...LOL!!
