(au) wrote: Decent little documentary. Well made. They had a lot of great footage to work with. Very well edited. It was interesting and I learned a lot of about the AIDS coalitions of the early 90s/late 80s. Really nothing wrong with it, except maybe it was too long. But in terms of information, it needed to be that length. But cinematic value, it hurt it. But Check it out if you are a fan of well made documentaries. solid concept solid execution.

A group of teenagers who "workshopped" the idea of playing variations of themselves on a bus ride on the last day of school thru the Bronx. It has its share of moments. Sometimes funny, sometimes a bit sad and aching to give voice to young adults who are often denied the opportunity. But something about it never fully comes together. It sort of feels like Gondry is so focused on getting past the stereotyping that it ends up working in opposition to that core goal.

(es) wrote: I originally liked this movie better having seen it a bit younger but having recently seeing mad max 2 I see it more as a rip off of that movie. Loner in a wasteland (one desert one ocean) fighting for oil/gas and the enemy dresses like bikers. Big difference is it launched Mel Gibson's career and tanked you Kevin Costner's for years.
