Joseph nails the character of the sexually overactive shapely guy that eats girls easily but never get one to stick... until he meets one that uses him and another more liberating. Lots of hilarious situations in the first parts in particular.

And his status remains the same with me as with the box-office till date. His latest outing "Yeh Saali Zindagi" tells stories of several characters finally mingling at one point. He presents it in the form of a romantic thriller. While I appreciate the effort of the director to make it a complex product, I guess he shouldn't have cared so much for the audience. But maybe then it wouldn't have been as compelling as it is. In the beginning, I was a bit pissed off at the introduction of a new character at almost every 10 minutes (Irrfan's character remains at the center of the plot and he happens to be the one to introduce us to most of the rest of the characters; it's told in a flash-back from his perspective), I got used to it by the time the movie ended having realized that I'd no option if I want to watch the movie!! All that aside, it worked as a first class time-pass for me. I enjoyed the predictable twists and turns that came to my rescue when I'd nothing better to do. Irrfan Khan gives a solid performance while Sushant Singh was above average. Chitrangda Singh looks seductive, but I wish I could say effortlessly. She seems to have put in too much effort to hit the target. That would still have been fine if it weren't so apparent on screen. Anyways, her overall performance, like the rest in the herd, was okay. And so was movie. In fact, it worked out a great deal for me than what I'd expected (irrespective of my circumstances at that time).

After that, he went down the tubes again but was never as inspired as he was in his younger days. Here, he is a blonde, coke-snorting redneck who speaks in an effeminate Tennessee Williams drawl.

It's got everything a B-movie from that time period should have, like good looking women, nudity , stupid people doing stupid things and just the little things that can make you laugh. It's very entertaining, it definitely exceeded my expectations. If Alien had in fact been a Roger Corman production, this is how it would of turned out.

Shannon N (au) wrote: Robert DeNiro is terrible in this, both in character and performance, but little Leo's (looks littler than he is, of course) a joy. As is Ellen Barkin and the unfortunately last-named, Jonah Blechman. The aforementioned actor should've really found a career beyond slapstick, gross-out, way-below-the-radar releases.
