Kylie C (fr) wrote: The movie description made it sound like the movie had promise, and it even showed like it might throughout the movie, but it fell short. The torture scenes lasted like 2 seconds, if that, and I felt like they should've been longer and the psycho should've been a lot creepier. I was really disappointed.
Taylor G (ca) wrote: Having watched this film approximately 30 min ago like everyone in the reviews suggested. I have now contemplated suicide 13 times in this which I now 31 min time span. I would rather have someone shove an entire can of wolf brand chili down my pee hole than watch just the intro to this movie. But on the other hand it's an ok movie to watch with the in laws on a foggy Halloween night!

Justin B (gb) wrote: One of the most underrated horror movies of all time. I first seen this movie when it first came out on VHS when I was a wee-kid. To this day its listed in my top 5 favorite horror movies. The movie features some more well known horror icons (mostly as extra characters) like Tony Todd (Candyman), Kane Hodder (Friday The 13th), and even Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street). Not to mention the main antagonist Andrew Divoff did a hell of a job. This movie has some eerie scenes that you rarely see in most horror movies like freakin flesh ripping fatalities (unless it's zombie movies), and other wtf deaths. Not to mention with the "bad guy" being a genie, you would expect a family comedy or somethin. If you wanna escape from the typcial crap you see with most modern horror movies, I suggest a gem like Wishmaster, or even the sequel. Don't even bother watching the 3rd and 4th haha. Good job Wes Craven!
Bruce B (gb) wrote: Not sure what to say about this film, as I am really not sure what the points was. Its from a list of films listed in the 1997 Toronto International Film Festival, and all the other films from that list that I have seen have been great. This one is about a journalist who has leukemia and can't get over a girlfriend. He also meets a scare face women and why she was in this film is beyond me. But its during the Chinese takeover of Hong Kong in 1997, and the brits are kicked out of the country. This one just do it for me though I enjoyed the video shots of Hong Kong, Market Places. Music was good also. So 3 stars, I didn't fall a sleep.
Nonya B (us) wrote: I like teen movies more than most people. Theyre campy, have likable characters, and entertaining story lines, but this one had me bored to tears. Adam Baldwins character Linderman just moped and sulked for an hour. You cant feel for the main character because he totally deserved what he had coming by insulting the bully for no reason on the first day. I kept thinking that my patience would pay off, but the end was the hugest let down with this gem lesson: If youre getting bullied, its best to get a bigger bully to beat that one up. This was pathetic and sad even by teen movie standards. Please skip this film.
Chris H (ag) wrote: The plot is stupid, and the monsters aren't given ample screentime. You can almost always count on aliens to ruin a kaiju film, even if the basic premise of the film is strong.

Brian B (gb) wrote: This is one of the most popular and important Disney animated movies of all time. It's dark, emotionally stirring, and hard to watch at times. It has a great story about revenge and although the plot isn't entirely original, the movie handles it so well that it didn't bother me. The intro is very memorable and it will forever be remembered as one of the best movie intros of all time. I'm not going to spoil anything but a particular characters death is handled so well that it made most people cry bitter tears regardless of their age. It's probably the most saddest scene for any animated film. Like most Disney animated films, it offered adult themes which makes it good and enjoyable for grown ups as well. With some Disney films my nostalgia wears off but with this film, it gets better every time I watch it. Its final act has more action then you'd expect to find in a Disney film. I did rather enjoy the ending scene. Also, it has one of if not the best movie soundtrack of all time too. It perfectly fit the mood and setting of the movie and it's pretty catchy. It's a must see for all animated movie fans,
