Carlos M (mx) wrote: It is hard not to fall in love with Raphal Personnaz and Charlotte Le Bon, who are so charismatic and have such a great chemistry together in this decent French comedy that may be predictable and full of clichs but has its moments and is funny enough to make it worth it.

Joseph C (de) wrote: Loved it. I'd suggest people give this movie a chance beyond the first 10 minutes, because the production quality of the film was intentionally lowered at the beginning to keep in line with a particular plot point. Aside from a great story that seems to be hauntingly prophetic, I think this technique of an evolving production in line with the characters and their knowledge of film technique is really very cool.

Alice S (es) wrote: Gorgeous cinematography and editing, but terribly weak story. It's not that I'm against optimistic, uplifting movies, but there needs to be proper development and higher stakes than just "star-crossed love." Why does Salim suddenly let Latika go after remorselessly kidnapping her days ago? Where is his moral and fraternal turning point? What is the point of the frame story of the torturing producers? There is no pay off for that; it is merely a device to reveal Jamal's past. What is the consequence of the gangsters' cruelty to Latika? She isn't horribly disfigured or hurt. Would Jamal still love her if she is? Will their love still transcend such superficialities? I have a problem with destiny-driven plots. It's an easy cop-out. I really wanted to like this film because it's pretty much everyone's favorite movie ever, but I find it incredibly overrated.

Jon M (it) wrote: I'm not sure if this is based on a true story. I have not read the book, North to Freedom, that it's based on, but it was a very good film. Joan Plowright was brilliant.

Vivek A (jp) wrote: This movie gave me a very unique perspective on adulthood. The imagery is moving and the auditioning of actors in the begining is something that haunts me.

Jeff B (es) wrote: A really deeply-layered story that unfolds in a mysterious way and pits two masters against each other. This was my first experience with Katsu and, while I liked him, I found him to be rather mismatched against Mifune, who was awesome as usual. He plays a more cold-hearted variation of his earlier Yojimbo character, but there's still lots of jokes to be had (from both swordsmen.) The ending was a bit strange, but cool all the same.

Luke R (es) wrote: One of my favourite films I have ever seen. A true classic. The film is about the rivalry between two composers. Salieri and the well know Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart which sounds like one of the most boring plot lines of all time but trust me it's fascinating.Mozart is a natural at his artform and begins to dismantle the influence Salieri has within the Austrian community. But Mozart has his own issues and that is where this film comes into its own. Of course the music is superb and it's pretty stunning to look at as well. Like I said, it's a classic and you must watch it.

David F (us) wrote: Suffice it to say it's not as good as the book, but the filmmakers did a very good job of providing the expected amount of romance, nudity, luxury, and sexuality for this film to live up to the hype.As the supreme love story of our time it is fitting that this treatment is slick, superficial, and above all safe. It doesn't break any new ground artistically but it faithfully animates the innocent Anastasia Steele and the mysteriously sexy Christian Grey for the big screen.

Jeff C (ag) wrote: One of the better performances (Dustin Hoffman) as he plays Ray an Autistic Savant. Watching Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise) transform from a self absorbed a-hole to a guy who finds the family connection he's always sought in the most unusual way was moving. Classic.

Morten L (gb) wrote: Moore and Marvin plays well together in this movie. Definitely watchable.

Kevin M (nl) wrote: GREAT MOVIE, a timeless classic packed full of all the old time best ever actors and actresses. 100 star rating. has all the big name actors and actresses in it.

Lorena T (jp) wrote: I've seen bad movies, and now I've unfortunately seen this absolute crap!!! The special effects look like they were made by a visual artist that have lived under a rock the last 30 years; at least that's how I see them on my 4k TV. The script is pure garbage, the acting is atrocious. Even more appalling is the fact that an Oscar winner like Geoffrey Rush is in this movie!!! What the actual FUCK??? I wanted to give 0 stars but I couldn't.
