Johan R (es) wrote: My review of Let's be EvilWhere do I start, the work and talent that went into producing this movie is just amazing. The movie cast features professional actors (possibly mentored by Count Olaf himself) whom together packs a combined acting career of no more than a weeks worth at best.Screenwriters who's flair and creativity composed this masterpiece; a script that makes Curious George seem like a children's book. But wait, there's more:Let's be evil, packs some awe inspiring post-effects created by a VFX artist who upgraded from using crayons a few days before getting to work on butchering what was left of this movie after the *cough cough* actors and screenwriters were done with it.Now for a condensed review of the story line:3 broke, imbecile young adults Jenny, Darby, Tiggs (played by previously mentioned no-name actors who will all be re-appearing in the sequel "Let's be eviler: Turkey season" ) are selected to participate in a secret project. They are tasked with babysitting a dozen or so primary school students.....in a top of the line AR enhanced underground facility. To show how high-tech this place is, the facility is managed by an Artificial intelligence with an IQ rivaling that of an infant. You won't see this coming so be warned spoiler ahead; the kids turn evil!!!!The kids start to harass and attack Jenny, Darby and Tiggs.Being adults and 3 times the size of their primary school attackers, they do the only sensible thing....flee in panic. The primary school students make quick work of the AI disabling it in minutes, and undetermined by the fact that they unable to reach higher than Darby's waist, overpower and immobilize him using not one but TWO!!!! strips of duct tape...good lord!Jenny and Tiggs eventually manage to save Darby free Darby, however morale in the group is plummeting quickly as they realize the gravity of their situation. Trapped in an underground facility faced with a formidable adversary consisting of a bunch of school children they must escape or die trying! As the movie progresses at what feels like a glacial pace the end is finally within reach with what can only be descried as an epic culmination....a cliffhanger-ish!I've seen people make better movies in MS paint.

Aaron M (es) wrote: Kind of funny how it gets 13% from the Rotten Tomato "Experts" but 3.9 stars from almost 90,000 people! Just shows Rotten Tomato "Experts" have no clue what appeals to most people. This was an excellent movie, that while it is faith based, can be enjoyed both by church goers and not church goers alike. Maybe people should listen more to the voice of the average people rather than the voice of the so-called "Experts".

"It's a leisurely yet resonant film that reinforces the power of cinematic storytelling." "For Norbu, filmmaking has become his form of thangka painting"
Benedick L (au) wrote: Could have been so much better and intelligent. Unfortunately it is neither. The grande finale loses steam and the chase sequences are bordering on tiresome. There is a funny sequence with Sylvester Stallone, who is obviously dubbed (I don't care who tells me different) but apart from this, it's mediocre.
Russell S (jp) wrote: This movie is almost like a magic trick. It really manages to conjure something rather wonderful from nothing. The plot can be summed up in a single sentence yet it propels itself forward throughout with oodles of fun, charm and probably the most family friendly story of the series. Great fun if a little silly at times.
David S (it) wrote: Some interesting scenes, but the melodrama doesn't work in this Sirk film, especially when it's necessary to have Rock Hudson explain the tragedy of the affair to his newspaper colleagues as the film comes to a close.
