(it) wrote: I kept telling myself that this was a silly "mean-girls Cody Banks" cheap hybrid, but it was just pretty bad regardless. Hailee Steinfeld and Sophie Turner have both shown in past projects that they do have talent to work with, but none of that is really visible here. Jackson and Alba fare no better, though Jackson does do a good job of portraying his ridiculous (and dumb) and poorly written character. Like any teenage spy flick, Barely Lethal uses the same bouncy flippy fight scenes and rides its secret agent/high school cliches right till the end.

(ru) wrote: The first Star Trek movie is pretty in-line with the show- tho as a result, it feels like a extended, more expensive episode. There isn't too much to the story, but there are some good parts, and some good tho paced-out dialog. The film's biggest problem is the endless artistic pandering, as there are so many endless scenes of scenery and pretty music that slow the plot down and makes you a bit impatient. Otherwise, it's a beautiful film with some great effects.
(ru) wrote: The awful filming ruined what could've been a great movie.
(mx) wrote: It's a great drama with beautiful shots and scenes. A fresh story about the war. Just a tad slow in the middle.
