Heather M (gb) wrote: I am going to skip this one.

George C (us) wrote: Best film winner at Cannes. It's got to be good.

Carlos M (kr) wrote: Liam Neeson plays another middle-aged superman in this frenetic movie full of overstylish action, but even if the mediocre plot begins relatively interesting, it soon comes up with a lot of convenient holes and ends with a ludicrous explanation that is more laughable than surprising.

Sweety H (kr) wrote: Quirky and odd yet there I sat so convinced that I knew the truth. Way fun.

Robertson R (fr) wrote: A very enjoyable Star Trek "parody" that's better than any Star Trek movie

Dann M (es) wrote: Full of intrigue, Kiss the Girls is a smart and suspenseful crime thriller. Based on a James Patterson novel, the story follows forensic specialist Dr. Alex Cross as he investigates the disappearance of his niece and comes to discover that she's become a victim of the serial killer known as "Casanova." Starring Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Cary Elwes, and Brian Cox, the cast is fairly strong (though Judd is a weak link that stands out a bit). There are also some underdeveloped elements of the plot that make it seem a bit contrived at times. However, the directing is well-done and does a good job at creating an atmospheric setting. Additionally, the film is able to be disturbing and violent without becoming morbid and gratuitous. Kiss the Girls isn't without its problems, but it still delivers a compelling mystery.

Daniel D (es) wrote: If the martial arts and choreography were better, Circle of Iron would be nearly a masterpiece. But as it stands, it is merely only better than any number of other Western-made martial arts films of its time.I have to wonder if Moore had ever even seen a Shaw Brothers or Golden Harvest film before, because he demonstrates a complete lack of skill in capturing the essence of martial combat. The combatants move slow and you can tell they are pulling punches, and they all lack the style and prowess of their true Hon Kong brethren. However, the story, created by Bruce Lee, is interesting and creative. Like Lee's other unfinished would-have-been masterpiece, The Game of Death, Circle of Iron was written as a way to detail and demonstrate Lee's own philosophy. The story here is very surreal, almost El Topo like in its otherworldly, esoteric qualities.
