The Return of Martin Guerre

The Return of Martin Guerre

During the medieval times, Martin Guerre returns to his hometown in the middle of France, after being away in the war since he was a child. Nobody recognise him, and the people who knew him suspect he is not Martin, but he knows all about his family and friends, even the most unusual things. Is this man really Martin Guerre?

In medieval France, some villagers challenge a man's claim of identity when he (as he says) returns home from some time in the army. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Steve A (gb) wrote: The acting was somewhat lacking, but the interplay of history, philosophy, psychoanalysis, developing friendship, . . . oh, yeah, and that illness called "Love" made this a very interesting and enjoyable movie. If you're not careful, you may learn a little about Nietzshe's philosophy other than "God is dead".

hannah b (ca) wrote: A brilliant film about Brian and Charlie the two 'gangster' who want out of robbing banks and doing their bosses dirty work so decide to stitch their group up and leg with the money on the next job; however it does'nt go to plan as they cant slip away and have to find sanctuary in a church and nuns teaching college. so along comes the drag and bemused girlfriend and the infamous line of 'spectacles, testacles, wallet and watch'. its a good British film. Its a pleasant film with funny lines from everyone and has a great ending.
