Samuel H (ag) wrote: Clint Eastwood shows his prowess both as a director and actor in Gran Torino. Eastwood explores the power of living with grace in both life and death and the richness of living a life with character. As Roger Ebert wrote "everyone wants to be Clint Eastwood". This is true for the actor, director, man, (and even singer in this one). Gran Torino is an emotional and powerful (near) bookend to one of Hollywoods greatest careers.

(Joe Stevens) The family is back for a reboot, and universally hated by everyone, including chainsaw fans. Personally I think it's misunderstood or people have no idea of what's going on, so they write it off as stupid. The Illuminati or Freemasons, if you will, own everybody through mind control and deception, including the Sawyer family (Leatherface and crew). So who's scarier? Erik W (kr) wrote: If you haven't seen this movie, you should. Now don't watch this expecting blood and guts action, it's definately not that kind of a movie. It's a movie with two great performances. Robert Mitchum was great as a Marine who washes up on a Pacific island whose only inhabitant is a Nun, execellently played by Deborah Kerr. The two are faced with near impossible circumstances, hiding from occupying Japanese troops, bombings and hunger and trying to survive all of them. Brilliantly directed by the legendary John Huston and marvlously photographed by Oswald Morris. I definately recommend this to all movie buffs.

Shawn W (br) wrote: Not the finest work from director David A. Prior, but not bad either. A killer uses an oversized safety pin to murder spandex-clad patrons at the Rhonda Workout gym. The motive - a horrifying tanning bed accident that caused disfiguring burns. One would think murders at the club would be bad for business but nothing seems to be able to deter these fitness fanatics from staying in shape. If you can't get enough of the close ups in probably a half dozen aerobics scenes littering the 85-minute film, there are more interspersed in the credits.
