Kyle L (it) wrote: Hellraiser Hellworld is a solid Direct To DVD sequel that may not be as good as Hellraiser Deader and Hellraiser Inferno and it is the weakest in the Hellraiser Direct to DVD sequels but out of all the Hellraiser films this film is far better than Hellraiser III Hell On Earth and Hellraiser Revelations. The plot of this film is about a group of kids who are invited to a party and are fans of a Hellraiser game where soon after they enter the party they discovered that something isn't right and Pinhead is also after them and the teens must solve all the mysteries that's happening in the party and escape before they all die. Hellraiser Hellworld to be honest is just a solid Horror film and I didn't find it to be nearly as good as Hellraiser Inferno and Hellraiser Deader but it is just a solid movie and there's nothing special about it as a Direct to DVD sequel. Anyways lets get to the good stuff. What's great about Hellraiser Hellworld is that the whole film has an interesting concept and the film also has a solid pace in the movie and the concept of this film quite entertained me and I was pleasantly surprised with the idea of this film a lot. What I also like about Hellraiser Hellworld is that the film is also creepy during certain parts and the film also has a couple of tense parts throughout the film and most of the suspense in this film is effective and well used. The other things I like about this film is that the whole movie also has a lot of special effects that are neat and magnificent plus the movie is also full of kills that are unbelievably and fabulously gory and there are lots of gore scenes that are well used in this film. The saw chair scene has some great blood and gore that are well used. The decapitation scene is intense and pretty gory. The hook scene is one of the most gruesome kills in the film. The police officer's kill is one of the best kills in Horror history and the gory finale in the last part of the film where the Host gets ripped to shreds by the Cenobites is one of the best kills in the film although I wish Pinhead could have done some killing in this film because there were no parts where Pinhead used his chains to rip someone into shreds in this film and I wish there could have been another scene like that. While the last things I like about this film is the film's settings and I love the settings of the party in this film and it looks great and of course Pinhead and his Cenobites look good as always and I love the Cenobites in this film a lot. Although the movie suffers from a lot of flaws that occurred in this film. One of the problems of this movie is that the film is much more confusing than Hellraiser Hellseeker and the script is quite a mess during times. The movie lacks the potential atmosphere of its predecessors. The film lacks suspense during the third half of the film. The dialogue is unbearable and ridiculous and last but not least the ending of this film is disappointing. Now the acting is great and Doug Bradley who plays Pinhead in all the Hellraiser films did a really good job once again with his role in the film as Pinhead but the rest of the casts are mediacore in their performances in the movie while some are great and overall the film's acting could have been better for one reason. Director Rick Bota still managed to do a good job in making one more Hellraiser film and this Hellraiser film he made may not be that perfect as his previous work on Hellraiser Deader but at least he still managed to make one last Hellraiser film that still has a couple of goodies. Overall Hellraiser Hellworld gets a 7/10 because the film has a couple of goodies like its interesting concept and gory kills along with a couple of things but the film suffers from a series of flaws that occurred in the movie and it could have been better for one reason and nevertheless this is also the last Hellraiser film to have Doug Bradley portray Pinhead in all eight Hellraiser films.

Greg R (ca) wrote: This is a underrated Disney film in my opinion. Is it corny and stupid at times? oh yea. Also the third act sadly is not very good either. On a whole, I do think there are things to like about this film. There's some good lines, many of the characters are distinct, likable, and they all stand out., There was definitely a lot of imagination and creativity put into it, and the visuals are really really cool to look at.

Kevin M W (kr) wrote: Nine years after Hal Ashby's quixotic 1979 tale of mistaken identity, Being There (with Peter Sellers as the humble gardener), Mamet followed with his take on the same subject, throwing in the Mob and its code of honor (!!!) for comic spin. Joe Mantagna is the family flunky chosen with cred enough to babysit a shoeshine boy and he's credible if underwritten. Ameche, though, is the whole film, carrying the whole piece. I thought he understood it better than Mamet pretended to ...
