This Film Got A ''Two Thumbs Down'' On Siskel & Ebert

That's about it. There are some really interesting ideas here

t's just a pity that that doesn't transfer to this film, and that the Kilrathi look ridiculous rather than effective!. Further proof (if proof were needed) that basing a movie on a series of computer games isn't always a good idea!Having said that, however, there probably is a bit more reason than most for this one: the original games themselves were actually pretty plot-driven, very much like being the star of a movie in your own right

hes back and hes good as always funny too, and he is Inspector Clouseau :) no diamond this time either, :) good movie with good old Peter

Five stars for its overall style and decent storyline. If you appreciate a good retro-horror movie and unique instrumental soundtracks, you won't be disappointed. Burt Young is a standout and the two leads, the late David Huffman andthe pretty Mariana Hill, are believable as ex-lovers reunited over the case of Hill's character's mother's strange disappearance. The story has suspense and the acting is fine. The rose-tinted camera lenses used hearken us back to long, lazy beach summers. The film takes us back to the more relaxed era of the late 1970's and the cinematography is done in a welcome, easy-on-the-eyes style which is contrary to today's hyperactive CGI. This movie has an incredible jazz-synth score from Gil Melle, legendary saxophonist jazzman and inventor of several electronic instruments

Wilson gives it his all, it just isn't a movie he can carry on his own, with a poor script and poor story. Not very good. Meh

Pas la hauteur du standard qu'il a lui-mme fix, le genre de Romero s'essoufle dans ce film pnible

A powerhouse of acting & directing, a sensational film. Very audacious & bold for it's day. The story is told so well & the story has such impact. The story of idealistic all American boy who goes & joins the war effort & becomes paralyzed in combat & struggles to adjust back into society & becomes quickly disillusioned. Oliver Stone truly is one of greatest American Filmmakers around & this film shows his skill behind camera & the talent of Tom Cruise under terrific direction

He completes this film. Gary Busey's contribution as the villain Joshua cannot be understated. "Hate him back, it works for me" is a response I'm familiar with. This time around, I'm feeling it a bit more. He came across as unconvincing to me. I always had a bit of trouble with Mel Gibson's portrayal of someone allegedly suffering from mental health issues. From Riggs' hair to his question of Murtaugh "What are you, a fag?" this film is showing its age. Lethal Weapon is still a good film but suffers from a few dated qualities. 161113: How times have changed
