Akiko A (jp) wrote: The 'To Do List' has some very funny moments about a young college girl Brandy who an academic student with good grades. She has a crush on Rusty Waters who totally ignores her. As she fills out college applications she realizes she hasn't done anything in high school that kids do at her age. She creates a 'To Do List' of sexual activities she wants to explore before college that could help her lose her virginity to Rusty Waters. At first she enlists her friends, and a few others to help her with her list, but as she reaches her goal she becomes a very different person hurting the people that have been her allies her entire life. The movie is hilarious, a fun parody, and has some ridiculous moments. If you are looking for a weekend movie with a crude humor and inside chick jokes, this is worth the laughs. It does have ridiculous dumb moments that are too far fetched to believe.

Grant S (br) wrote: Seemed to have potential, initially, but quickly degenerated into z-grade horror schlock. Not "so bad it's good" this is very bad, and stays that way. Unoriginal, predictable plot, filled with random, meaningless, nonsensical sub-plots and implausible scenes. Lame, unconvincing acting.Avoid.

Brandon W (br) wrote: Clouds of Sils Maria is directed and written by Olivier Assayas, and it stars Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart, and Chlo Grace Moretz in a drama film about an actress who's in a lesbian stage, and problems start to tense up, whether it be from her experiences in the play, or the business relationship with her assistant. This is the first time that I've seen a film from Olivier Assayas as I heard about this director here or there, and so I figure I'll give this a shot. The main actresses are terrific as Juliette Binoche gives a complex performance, and Kristen Stewart plays her character in a monotone way, but it actually works in terms of what she's going with. It's beautifully shotted with the landscape of the horizon, and the characters are well done. The only issue that I have with it is that the pacing is really slow, and it's like that the entire film, which for me can be fine enough if the writing is interesting enough, and while the writing by Olivier Assayas is good, the movie wasn't quite there yet to make me interested in it, and that can be a huge issue. For me in the end, I thought Clouds of Sils Maria is a great movie that I makes me curious enough to see Personal Shopper.
